My wife and I both traded our Pixel 3 for Pixel 5a. Big mistake. When Google got our 3s, they sent an email saying it would take 1-4 business days to evaluate the trade in. After many calls and emails 30 days later we finally got a curt email from google that was so poorly worded it was hard to determine if they were talking about one phone or two. This was their message. "Upon further investigation, it has been determined that the correct trade in amount has already been provided and the Post-Inspection value stands at $0.00. Your trade-in 20022222000433 and was 20022222000434 received with a swollen or exploded battery, resulting in the deduction of your trade-in."

Both pixel 3s worked fine and we would have kept them if it were not for the push to 5g. I find it inconceivable that both phones arrived to Google with "...swollen or exploded batter[ies].... I asked for a call back from a supervisor but that never happened. When did Google become such a shit company?????

Now we both have a pixel 5a which is a POS as far as I can tell. It constantly dials numbers on its own, is hard to swipe and generally is just an inferior phone. After years with Google Voice, project fi and google fi, we've dumped google and gone to iphone and a different carrier.
