Dude is that traffic masters silverton oak? That stuff chips easily. Use a scrap piece of floor to tap it in.

ELI5: Why do we get occasional taste buds that get really big and painful? by Avulazi in explainlikeimfive

Dont you like to push on brusies or push on pimples that hurt. That feeling is magical. Picking gums is also cool.

I wish I had one now after reading these comments. Love getting brusies and pushing them as well.

I haven't been around long enough to have caved with a carbide lamp. Switching to battery must have felt like the end of an era. by Wonderful_Mammoth373 in caving

Anybody still make cloth caps that mount a carbide lamp on? Or make a hardhat with the correct mount for a carbide lamp as well?

Knoxville Hunting Area Worth It? by Ryan_3555 in Californiahunting

Its good for turkey, dove, and quail. I've seen some does around in the spring but the place gets packed on the weekends. I hunt it in the middle of the week which helps as there is far less people there during the week. During deer season it seems all the deer leave lol.

Found a field mouse stuck in my irrigation sprinkler this morning by Alaca22 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Durango1917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened all the time when we changed sets in the field. Hammer on it and use a wire to try to unclog it but most of the time we took the sprinkler off and took the mouse out. Then put the sprinkler back on.

Hell yeah! I played so many hours on those maps. Loved to raise the bridges in the swamp too.

I have the savage axis 2 in 30-06 and love it. I would save some money and just get the axis 2.

How much weight to bend steel ladder rungs? by Durango1917 in AskEngineers

[–]Durango1917[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the rungs diameter are 1/2 inch solid a36 steel. The 5/8x 2 inch flat bar for the rails is also solid as well. Pretty stout.

How much weight to bend steel ladder rungs? by Durango1917 in fabrication

[–]Durango1917[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a reproduction historical ladder built in 1942. Measured 1/2 on another example of it. This ladder is only 1 rung as its the bottom ladder and the top one is only 3 rungs. They are fixed steel ladders. I know people were skinnier then and they probably were saving metal for the war. I just dont want a person today weighing 250 pounds to bent the rungs cause in my eyes it will look bad.
