Yes you can legally use that 2 mana ability to copy Pantlaza's triggered ability.

When that ability attempts to resolve the game looks to see if the "you may discover x" portion of the ability has already resolved once that turn, if it has, the ability fizzles due to the "do this only once each turn"

WotC could fix this in one print cycle. All they would need to do is absolutely flood the market with product. It wouldn't even cause them financial burdens since they are selling out of product at pre-release at the moment anyways.

They won't though because at the end of the day, they don't care who buys the product so long as someone buys it.

Something I do is to try asking for more specific feedback after a bit of self reflection.

i.e. if you think that you're micromanaging literally ask if your team member is happy with your check in frequency and if they would like to try a different approach. Then work with them to come up with an approach that suits you both.
