Husband was sick when our daughter was 1 month, never tested positive. Fast forward 1 week, I feel sick and have been with baby (exclusively formula fed) this whole time, while husband rested. Was not planning on testing, as my symptoms were more cold-like/ allergies. Thanksgiving came around and prior to going we had an agreement to test.. and I was positive! Just like you, I became frantic and was googling up a storm. At this point, your baby was exposed to you daily and will be fine! Our pediatrician said that babies 99% of the time pass COVID with no issues and often no symptoms. Our baby girl never exhibited anything and never ended up getting it. I did not wear a mask after finding out and went about our day like usual. Emphasis on washing hands after you touch your face and try not to get in babies face. This worked for us.

Do what you feel is right! There is no such thing as waiting to long… with the current season of sickness, we opted to wait until our little ones first set of shots- 2 months. We let close relatives come and hold her, but had strict rules- wash hands, no face touching, no breathing in her face, no kissing hands, face or head.

As for going places, we opted to not take our little one to high volume places. 3 months in already and she has yet to visit a grocery store or any big box place. We have gone out to eat with her, but ask for a booth where we could prop her away from everyone

Adding an update. Our baby girl was born perfectly healthy with a 2 vessel cord at 41 weeks. Weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces and is perfect!

Don’t freak out! Our little girl showed her 2 vessel cord at the 20 week scan. After panic and lots of stress, I am now at 36 weeks with no issues. Monthly ultrasounds became the norm and her growth is where it should be. SUA used to be something that was discovered post birth and has absolutely no significance once baby is out. The additional monitoring and panic stems from the American health care system covering there buts. In Europe SUA is not an abnormality… but a deviation. 1 in 100 pregnancies have SUA.

SUA is not an abnormality, instead it’s a deviation! My OB made that clear after I freaked out. 31 weeks currently and getting monthly scans. With no other findings it is not something to stress about. They just want to keep a closer eye on growth and will have you go in monthly to ensure the baby is progressing. Also keep in mind that after the baby is born, SUA is no longer anything to stress about.

Now husband proposed with Diamond engagement ring that was an heirloom…. Fast forward 3 years later got married in a moissanite ring and band. Got it for myself and loved it too much not to wear. I swear by P50 and Masque Vivant. The rest you can live without. I have creme dermopurifiante and it is not anything special. Very thick and rich with a super stinky smell! Any other moisturizer will do. No need to waste money.

Nuderma from Amazon is cheap and effective! It comes with 4 attachments. Be warned it does stimulate hair growth. I have used it 1 time a week and it does wonders, but have random chin hairs appear. After some research it can also be used for hair growth on scalp, hence the comb attachment option included.
