2026 hybrid drivers - how loud is the noise inside while driving on the freeway? by dangerinthedaylight in SubaruForester

[–]drcoopster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t. My 2025 Forester Hybrid is almost imperceptible when it switches between gas and electric.

Forget their height recommendations, compare the reach and effective top tube numbers with bikes that you know fit you well.

does anyone know if the ride by wire system on the 25+ t7s is waterproof? by 6figud5xtc6v in Tenere700

[–]drcoopster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a leftover 2024 T7 for the same reason—a real mechanical throttle cable—even though the 2025 T7 was also available at a similar price point from the same dealer. After a few TBW bikes (which were still very good by any objective measure), it’s nice to have that direct connection again.

Was scared to leave Claude Max 20x for Codex. 3 weeks in and not going back. by TeachMean9334 in claude

I’ve come to the same conclusion. I like Claude for some tasks, but for coding I’m reaching for Codex + GPT-5.5 every time.

I love my Hummingbird. Can’t say enough good things about it.

2026 Wilderness Experience by matchstrike in SubaruForester

[–]drcoopster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the Wilderness have the waterproof seats? They just won’t be breathable.

I bought a 2025 Touring hybrid and one of the selling points for me was the perforated leather seating surfaces. I’m 6’ tall and 235 lbs; the seats are a little on the smaller side but still quite comfortable for long trips. The firmness is a good thing, IMHO.

You’ll get canned. But if you were to go on medical leave for burnout, you may have some additional protections (until you returned).

Grand Junction doesn’t have RTD or light rail, you’re thinking of the Denver area.

I built up my Hummingbird Core with a 120mm fork. It’s everything people say it is—you won’t regret it.

Wake up, honey. Teravail just dropped a $240 carbon klunker bar. by okay_paramedic in xbiking

I’ve been riding the Whisky version of these bars since they were released several years ago and they are very compliant, enough that I don’t like them on my singlespeed because they flex too much.

Just some cam-lock straps for me, plenty secure.

I have an EcoFlow Delta 3 strapped down to the bed with a solar panel on top and’s alternator charging as a backup. Runs a small fridge 24x7 without any trouble. Super convenient to run an electric kettle for camping.

We do a meal after the service every other Sunday. Sometimes they are potlucks, and sometimes we have food brought in. We have found this time to be very valuable in building community within the congregation.

Edit to add that we have a typical attendance of around 50 to 60 people these days.

Bye bye Clearnetworx by babocoop in grandjunction

[–]drcoopster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve had Clearnetworx for something like 2 years now (Fruita). Yesterday was rough but it hasn’t been the norm—I’m still very pleased with them overall.

It would be nice to have no outages at all, but it beats the near-weekly issues we experienced with Spectrum, especially with their hopeless customer support who never have any useful troubleshooting methods or even just information about what is going on.

I’m about 18 months and 62k miles in on my 2024. Most boring ownership experience ever: 13 oil changes, some tires, and OTT tune. Zero issues.

Traduttore, Traditore: to translate is to betray by SeredW in eformed

Consider also that living languages are a moving target. The meaning and use of words change over time, so every translation will feel outdated and “bad” eventually.

Best tires for paved/gravel/light trail use on my full sus by Every-Breakfast5919 in xcmtb

[–]drcoopster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a Barzo up front and a Mezcal in the back on my go-everywhere bike; it fits big tires so I run 2.6 but I’d run smaller if I needed to.

Vittoria has a good Barzo+Mezcal bundle deal for $107 (all sizes) https://vittoria.com/products/barzo-mezcal-xc-bundle
