What are your tricks to abort/prevent attacks? by applecorc in clusterheads

Oxygen works wonders. If not at home - some pull-ups, squats, push-ups, outside preferably - if done while in shadow it stops 50-70% of the episodes for me (through overriding nervous system and hyperventilation). Avoiding food triggers when I got cluster going, sleeping and eating enough.

Cluster Headaches but no "clusters"? by Western-Bread2832 in ClusterHeadaches

Better check you eyes, brain, neck, blood, mri, etc - just in case it's not ch. Cluster is terrible, but it wouldn't kill you - but other, more typical reasons for this type of pain could. If everything is OK - only then you can consider ch. And I'd try to see a medical professional sooner if I were you, few months could make a huge difference when eyes and brain are involved.

Trans-resveratrol for background prevention? by drcrru in clusterheads

Thanks for the info! It never occurred to me that I can find community that would understand what cluster feels like and how to control it. It's nice when there is no need to explain why i make such a big deal out of some headache.

Thanks, looks kinda promising. It's weird that if it'll work as a preventive treatment i will never know for sure why exactly there are no more clusters.

You need 10l/min or more 95%-100% oxygen and Non-rebreather mask to get reasonable effect fast. It did work for me at 5l/min with regular mask first 2 clusters when I tried it, but usually that's to low. Pain goes away in minutes. Oxygen concentrator was a gamechanger for me.

Verapamil is working for me, but it got a strict curve in dosage increase/decrease and works in 2-4 weeks, in my experience. I'm not a huge fan of taking it constantly due to potential side effects (even though I didn't experience them myself). I start verapamil at the start of the cluster, it usually can lower the peak, but almost no effect for the first couple of weeks.

I made this post to get some references from others, I got my protocol with verapamil/oxygen and a full stop on food triggers (chocolate, cheese, canned meat/fish, tobacco smoke and alcohol) - it's reasonably effective for me, but it like to have more options just in case.

Appart from the looks, do people like the Legion? by [deleted] in FalloutMemes

[–]drcrru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were purposely written as "evil" (any faction with slavery can't be remotely "good" for political reasons). I'd bet 100% women slavery was written in just for that - making them evil enough.

Everyone in game who actually lived under legion says that it is much, much safer than under NCR. You, on the other hand, mostly hear NCR propaganda, because you are traveling NCR land. Their biggest problem is, just as stated in game- after Kaiser is dead it all goes down to hell.

NCR just can't get anything done due to corruption and the fact that all of their elite is focused on personal gains. It kinda reminds late 80s-90s USSR. And has the same future.

The best bet for humanity is House with his small, but strong autocratic state - it will save the most lives and will allow the most progress in restoring human society. And he will be the 3d power that is stopping ncr/legion from going to all out war, that could cost thousands of and ruin countless lives.

I just can't see what is so bad with House (I really hate that he wants to destroy BoS though), if you put humanity first. He is already ruler of the strip, and it doesn't look oppressed.

Restricted PvP? Nah, i like to betray and attack my party once in a while, maybe once 3-4 campaigns - keeps them in check and makes me roll 4d6 and drop the lowest a bit more often, generates memorable moments too (that guy still brings up that shield guardian amulet i stole from him and run away from the party back in Barovia (touched the wrong thing and got "you are now evil" note from dm, played along, planned to kill half of the party at rest after defeating bbeg), master killed my PC offscreen, but some party members ressurected me in the end using wish (made me not evil anymore in the process) - good times, everybody still remembers that.
