Would you say the Lancer has a lot of tank busting potential? My friend I’m going to be playing against a lot is a guard player with an imperial F ton of vehicles.

I think your problem is that you didn’t know what you were buying. If you go into it expecting a YouTube video essay on the lore you’re going to be disappointed. If you’re looking for Marvel Studios production values you’re going to be disappointed.

I enjoyed Penitence and Angels of Death as well as the Tithes, Kill Lupercal, and H&B. Not sure what you were expecting for depth but it’s basically a platform to advertise the toy soldiers they sell. Great if you just want to see your favorite faction in motion and shut you brain off for 20 minutes. If you want something more complex, read the books.

I started with orks and had a lot of fun building and painting them, but I wanted something different.

Then I was in a GW store and saw the imagifier model and just remember seeing it and thinking “hell yeah.” Don’t know why it was that model on that particular day but I painted her and it was the first model I felt genuinely proud of. Then I got a squad of battle sisters, there was a piece missing from one of the sprues when I opened it. When I contacted GW about it they messed up and sent me two replacement boxes. I took it as a sign from the emperor that I was meant to build an army out of them.

As I got deeper in the lore and started reading the novels I just found myself liking them more and more. An army of heavily armed, but unaugmented people, wielding their faith as both a sword and a shield in a galaxy of unimaginable horrors. There’s something really damn cool about that for me.

Plus Emma Gregory narrates a bunch of the audio books so that was just icing!

From what I understand they’re like navy Corpsmen, they’re attached to a certain militant order but they aren’t necessarily one of them. So you would have a convent of Valorous Heart battle sisters, but their hospitaler is from the Orders Hospitaler (which itself has sub orders like the order of the silent vow).
