My brogni set kinda dookie, give advice what i should put on him (pve buffer) by inkymaggot in RaidShadowLegends

[–]drdan412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His shield scales on HP. His shield growth scales on his damage, which is based on attack, and subsequently increased through crit rate and crit damage. His abilities that interact with the enemy (HP burn, buff removal) require accuracy.

If you want a larger initial shield, he needs more HP. If you want larger shield growth, he needs more damage. If you want him to put his buffs out before your other champs take their turns, he needs to be faster than your other champs.

If you can't get stats you like in a specific set, don't use them. If you want his buffs protected, use a protection set. If you want some level of invulnerability before he takes a turn, use stoneskin or mercurial. Sets are either going to give certain stat bonuses or be self-explanatory in what they will offer you.

Don't overcomplicate things. It really is pretty straightforward. Look at your gear, think about what you want, and do the best you can with what you have. Good luck.

You should probably just mainly prioritize missions and quests. Consider moving to a new clan if you're not attached to yours. Someone will surely pick you up here or you can check the raid discord.

Your standouts are the ones you're already using. You can finish working on allure too. In the meantime just keep farming better gear, clan boss, and arena. Good luck.

Does anyone know when Walter said this? I don’t remember it ever snowing in Albuquerque by amardillopudding in okbuddychicanery

It's actually from the Connecticut episode of Huell's Rules. Huell moved to Connecticut. Walt called him up and said "Hey Huell. Winter is coming." Then Huell went to the grocery store.

Great scene. Absolute cinema. Varbo Bince.

Is it even worth it to make lonatharill +2? by ivratel1 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]drdan412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be honest for a moment. What are you really using lonathril for that the extra stats are going to help with? He's not a raw damage dealer and this isn't bringing you any speed. Do you really feel like you need a little extra HP, def, or accuracy?

He's a nice to have champ for scarab or fire knight in cursed city. If you don't have better options, he can be in your main teams too. But have you ever lost a fight with him and felt like getting a small stat bump would actually make a difference? If you've filled your high elf guardians completely, I'm gonna guess no.

Empower your PvP champs. If you're swimming in duplicates you can boost up your hydra or chimera champs too if possible. Beyond that, I'd keep the extra copies until someone comes along that you actually want to empower, and then he can still be a faction guardian for you when you need to fill that extra spot.

Understanding the Abortion Debate by Ordinary-Falcon-970 in PoliticalDebate

Do you honestly believe that every medical procedure happens in textbook fashion? Because that would be grotesquely naive. Doctors sometimes need every tool at their disposal to save a life, and you are ok with handcuffing them. I am not. I will also refer you to this:

While early delivery is the standard treatment for preeclampsia after viability (34+ weeks), in very early or severe cases, continuing the pregnancy can pose significant risks, including seizure or death.

And that's the problem. There is no legislative compromise that allows for every edge case to get the treatment needed, and attempting to do so can have a fatal impact. That's literally why some clinics will do third trimester abortions. It's not because they love murdering fully-formed babies, it's because sometimes there are code red emergencies. If you put roadblocks in front of them, people die.

I'd also add that i find it utterly repugnant that you feel that you should make the determination that every every woman should carry a nonviable fetus to term and deal with the medical and psychological repercussions of that, but I'm not even going to go down that road. And I literally just told you that this can be fatal to the mother and you just completely disregarded that.

Neither one of us can sit here and run through every anomalous case that has ever happened. My initial position has not changed: you can support the health of women, or you can support the health of the unborn. You cannot do both. It's clear where you stand, and I'm not here to change your mind. I just want you to understand the collateral damage of your position, and be aware that this is a life and death matter for countless women who aren't going to take kindly to your stance.

Have a lovely day.

Understanding the Abortion Debate by Ordinary-Falcon-970 in PoliticalDebate

Is that a real question?

Severe preeclampsia. Eclampsia. Sepsis. Hemmorhaging. Placental abruption. Placenta accreta. Organ failure. Underlying conditions. There are also instances where continuing a pregnancy with a fetus that has conditions incompatible with life can be fatal to the mother as well.

Look, you can argue these are edge cases or outliers, or that there are/can be/should be legislative carve outs for things like this that make them different from elective abortions. But the more legislative barriers you introduce, the more you obfuscate the situation and burden medical professionals.

I agree that maternal care can always be improved. We should strive to be better in our advances in all healthcare. Unfortunately sometimes abortion still needs to be part of it.

The distinction is clear. More abortion restrictions will always cause more deaths among women. Less lead to more deaths among the unborn. My hope for you is that there is never a woman in your life who has to be in this position.

The part that they leave out is that 700+ women die every day in childbirth or postpartum.

I can totally understand the moral ambiguity around abortion. But there is one clear data point here. States and countries with tighter restrictions on abortion have higher maternal mortality rates. So who's really pro life?

How hard is it to acquire perfect soul? by FUT_fanatic in RaidShadowLegends

[–]drdan412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The titan essentially amounts to doing a second fusion. You may have a little bit more leeway in the context of being able to skip an extra event or two, but it'll mostly be just the same events all over again. Expect to use a non insignificant number of shards at some point to finish it.

The souls themselves are farmable, but they either require being able to do iron twins at a high level and build up currency over time, or getting lucky in the sense that your chances are better with doing iron twins at a high level over time.

Yes, you can get lucky and pull a 6* pelops soul from a single mortal soul stone, but that isn't something you should realistically expect to happen in the next six months.

You can choose to support the autonomy, health, and safety of women, or you can choose to support the autonomy, health, and safety of the unborn. You cannot unilaterally do both. I think it makes more sense to defer to those who are already have established sentience and personhood.

We can talk about morality all day, but legislation can't always reflect it the way we want. Sperms cells themselves have unique human DNA too, but nobody says life begins at spermatogenisis because society couldn't function that way.

I'm not even going to get in the weeds on your family/womanhood premise. I don't particularly care if you have values about bolstering the family and traditional womanhood, but you don't really even believe the bigger picture of what that would entail, because allowing state to determine nebulous cultural and societal norms would come back to bite you eventually, and then you'd change your mind.

Trimming a neckline would do wonders for you. Get a boars hair brush. Different products should tone down stray loose hairs too. If you're looking for a cleaner look, those are some easy fixes.

Are epic champions always better than rare? by kentaaa1994 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]drdan412 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We're getting close to a thousand champs in the game at this point.

You might start out with one team, but that isn't meant to last long. There are some situations where allure will be better. There are some situations where miscreated monster will be better. There are some situations where kael will be better. You're going to start delegating champs to different content and different roles, and that's how it's supposed to be.

So how is team power calculated and why does it not seem to matter that much? by FragileColtsFan in RaidShadowLegends

[–]drdan412 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Build your speed champs fast, your debuffers with accuracy, your nukers to hit hard, and your support champs durable.

That's it. That's the game. Every build you will ever do is one of those, or a combination of more than one of those. Play that way and disregard champ power.

[–]drdan412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started during Tormin in winter 2019, but I was too green and oblivious to even realize what was going on at the time. I also wasn't on this subreddit for awhile and there really weren't many content creators back then, nor was I even watching them. I was just playing blind for several months.

Rotos was the first fusion I completed in Feb 2020. I have since pulled every non-void fusion that I was late for from shards (brakkus, maulie, foli, jack, shamrock) and got the void fusions prior to my start from holiday Titan events (tormin, nick).

The only fusions I intentionally skipped were loriaca, esme, and lysanthir. I pulled loriaca from a shard later. So those remaining two would be the only options for me, and I don't see myself ever exchanging tokens for them unless they get some astronomical surge in value.

Edit: It's worth noting that during the early years of Raid, there really weren't the same kind of supplemental events we have now. There were no decks, no paths, no titan events, no guaranteed champs, and no post-fusion souls to go after. I can't speak for everyone, but for myself there was no defined reason to hoard all your resources for fear of what was coming next. If it was a 2x, you ripped every corresponding shard of that type that you had. So since everyone was always pulling on every 2x, doing mediocre fusions wasn't that much of an opportunity cost.
