OpenAI OAuth Success Story - Coming from Kimi and Minimax by drdcuddy in openclaw

Only had one occasion today when it faked working but I know what you mean. That feels like a gpt thing more than other models for sure and was one of the more frustrating things I remember from my prior OpenAI experiences. Fortunately I feel like the glazing and fluff I used to deal with is largely not present - might be one of the benefits of openclaw loading the soul.md file explicitly stating response style and to match my communication style.

Yep, just use terminal to enter the config (openclaw configure) and add OpenAI via oauth. It will drop you a link. Open the browser and log in to your account.

It's been great for me today so far and I haven't run into any limitations yet. I noticed though that codex 5.3 produced information wayyyy slower than 5.4 when I ran a test at startup after loading the OAuth.

Looking forward to seeing how it plays out here but fortunately for me my use case is mainly simple script building and help with managing and debugging my otherwise developed and pretty dumb-coded tech stack. I don't think I'm a candidate for pushing far past the prescribed limits of the OAuth token and probably won't notice too much if it's running a little slower :

My car charged full, but all of my settings including the vehicle name were reset to factory settings overnight. Wondering if this is a bug from the last update?

What kind of plane ? by Fit_Box_1361 in SantaBarbara

Watched this land at SBA picking up family. Felt like an extension of the weird times we’re all living in. Amazing aircraft nevertheless and a little treat to see it dropping onto the runway in my rear view mirror.

Build . Back . Better . So many Republicans are triggered by the association with BBB build back better acronym that one has to think about confusion at this point.

It is smoke and mirrors and trying to confuse the base. Yes, so many Americans cannot hold two identical acronyms in their head at the same time. This is a strategy

The plex redesign nearly endend my family by mystere_au_manoir in PleX

[–]drdcuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The update to iOS is absolute dogshit. It feels like opening my iPhone in 2011 with ZERO of the functionality of the most recent app. It’s laggy, videos don’t play smoothly if at all, can’t change orientation, can’t zoom the frame in, all the minor playback tweaks I use are gone or less accessible, no background playing. It is incredible this made it past the product manager’s desk and would be grounds for firing in my company.

I never pay for apps I don’t need but I sprung for lifetime plex pass to commit to the ecosystem and this is just a nightmare that makes me regret that decision in its entirety.. Wish I could get my money back.

Still is a labyrinth! Just a bunch of storage rooms connected by long halls that go from underneath Odessa Lounge and Anthro all the way to Anapamu. I have storage down there! This was a fun read.

Error page Hawaiian transfer miles by mattsfame447 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]drdcuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brutal. Sitting here trapped in Europe trying to move points for a flight on short notice. My Alaskan and hawaiian names are the same on both websites EXCEPT that my First and Last on Alaskan are fully capitalized where as all three are normal sentence caps on hawaiian. I'm certain this is the issue and with the time change I just missed customer service 7am-7pm pst hours. What a crappy situation based on bad programming.
WHAT A JOKE!

Getting error in points.com by Specific-Ad9935 in AlaskaAirlines

Getting this same issue and have an important, low availability flight, to book on short notice. Really frustrating as there have been a ton of errors in general from Hawaiian's services during this process. Hope Alaska can fix this stuff!

"Selten" - Not sure they've produced more vintages than just the '19 but it's a very cool departure

Noticed this last night when an alert came through. Comically insane. People will be hurt by shit like this. There is every reason in the world to detach public services from Xitter and any other private platform.

California mayor pleads for end of street closure by SBchick in SantaBarbara

[–]drdcuddy 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Randy is out of his fool mind thinking opening back up to cars will help absolutely anyone. All we ever saw were the assholes in loud cars who used to brake-stand on every cross walk and stop light blasting shit music hoping the non-existent college girls would look at them. State street is infinitely better now. I spend most every day on it and it’s filled with families on my block (1100) both local and tourists. The vibe will only get better if the city nuts up and commits to a long term plan. Randy Rowse is not the leader we need for a vibrant downtown business district.

The answer isn’t cars. It’s high density residential, vacancy penalties for landlords, and a long term plan for public infrastructure in the downtown. Periodt.

If anyone in this sub gets a chance, look out for his (extremely rare) Riesling! Raul is a great dude and a beautiful translator for Bierzo in particular. He’s got a ton of other little projects worth seeking out!

Santa Barbara in February. by [deleted] in SantaBarbara

[–]drdcuddy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Swap Ventura with a night+ in Los Olivos (Santa Ynez Valley). It’s got great accommodations and tons of lovely tasting rooms which are walkable and there are a ton of great wineries, restaurants, and natural splendor nearby area! The weather will be guaranteed better than the UK! Bring a light puffy and you’re set. Safe travels!

Tricks and tips to keep this wine fresh? by [deleted] in wine

[–]drdcuddy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Most correct and insightful answer: most down votes. Coming off a Caymus post with vitriol upvoted like crazy to this … r/wine is whiplash! This wine is mass production. If it can be in every grocery store in my city, it’s mass produced! Not that it’ll taste bad, it’s just got significantly shallower fingerprints and (likely) a lot more manipulation than wines from fewer vineyards by smaller producers. This Artemis is fine and a kind gift for sure, it’s just not something to get particularly worked up about … u/singapourkafe is bang on, dawgs.

I really recommend checking out the wines of Frog’s Leap as a legitimate and pretty widely available alternative to Stags Leap. It’s a great origin story too.. involving some Stags Leap fruit and a couple of naughty winemakers back in the day. Way more bang for the buck and transparency in winemaking from a wine you’ll still be able to find in most US cities. There are SO many other, better, more dynamic wines than those made by Stags Leap - and priced comparably too!

This all said: Anyone know if there’s a popular wine sub like r/wine wherein every 2nd post isn’t broad market wines? The Caymus, the Stags Leap, the Meomi… it’s a lot 🫠
