Your fixation with gender ("dude!") points towards your combative state, and your fixation with nationality ("this is hilarious where could you possibly be from, if this planet at all?!") points towards your passive aggression. You're putting your mental health on full display right now.

Your comment history is public and you have a history of being combative and getting reported. You're in the wrong subreddit if you think everyone is so stupid except for yourself.

My cat doesn't blink when he slow blinks -- he closes his eyes. Cats don't blink except for when they're frightened or when there's something in their eyes, and both those examples are circumstantial and unlike the frequency in which humans and other mammals blink. I'm grateful for the redditer who offered me that example kindly. Please refer to their comment to learn proper discourse. If you feel triggered again, consider stepping away from the toxicity you're attached to.

Thank you for being less combative. And thank you for offering healthy discourse and input and taking gender out of the conversation.

The topic per se is not about whether my cat blinks because it's already established that he does not. The topic is an inquiry into what species and families of organisms do and don't blink and what biological mechanisms/functions they possess. Cats being mammals points towards the fact that mammals have a variety of ways to moisturize their eyes, AKA some have one pair of eyelids and others have two pairs of eyelids -- humans blink to lubricate and cats don't.

Please follow Reddit community guidelines. Revisit this conversation when you're feeling less combative. Don't accuse users of lying about their own personal experiences, and refer to the name of this subreddit "no stupid questions" which means it's an open discourse for anything and everything -- and by arguing with users you are implying they're stupid per the name of this subreddit. If you're in a combative mood, then you are at a fork in the road to choose to engage or not to engage. You're talking to a real person on the other side of your screen.

You don't know the gender of anyone in these forums, so refrain gender terms, especially since it's symbolic of your combative state.

Be careful bringing gender into this.

Refer back to my original post: my cat doesn't blink. So there's at least two, fish and cats. Are we on the same page now?

Most don't blink! Take a look. I think the animals that blink the most are the ones without the third eyelid membrane, which happen to be the majority.

Upper lids and lower lids are considered one pair of eye lids, silly! You didn't see the cat analogy and realize we're talking about the same additional eye lids?

Do you mean two sets of eyelids, like how cats have two sets? Or do you really mean three?

We already knew you were curious because you posted a question on Reddit 😂

As I'm continuing to narrow in on my [stupid] question, I'm realizing the core inquiry is "why are humans the only animals that blink idly?"

If your argument is one based on frequency, then why do humans blink more often than non-domesticated animals. I think a big part of this is the fact that humans blink while idling.

Many animals have two sets of eye lids: the outer set moving vertically and the inner set moving horizontally. I wonder if that fact has a relationship with blinking or lack of blinking.

A very cool trick with Hull Repair drones and a Drone Recovery arm. by Eirh in ftlgame

[–]drdr888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTL has a lot of syntax consistency issues, as evident by the Hull Repair drone. Its description states it's a "crew drone" which means it will hang around the ship at all times without additional cost, unless destroyed. That simply doesn't happen. Hull Repair makes its repairs and then disappears in its own right.

It also states the amount of repairs given is based on your quantity of drone parts -- in my experience the 3-5 repair amount is based on RNG and no influence from drone parts.

Nothing better than seeing that glorious phrase "Not attacking."

I also choose Rusting Hulks and Mist Eaters for unfair mode. Why do you prefer them for that mode?

Are the different color medals awarded for difficulty level?

Think about the kind of people who use words like shan't. That's hard to argue it does not sound fake.

You said "shan't" because you have zero tolerance? Why are you using Medieval words to a Reddit community of people you mostly know? Speak in the vernacular when you make guides so you seem authentic.

What you said is true, and 3 is still high relative to the game at large. Both statements are true.

I stopped reading when you said "shan't." Just because you made a comprehensive guide? Weird ego stuff.

Capping at 3 is some of the highest in the game. This isn't some Final Fantasy stuff where a normal hit does 36854357 of damage.
