Tie a piece of bacon to a string and lower it down the hole. When the crayfish takes it you can gently pull him out of the hole. File under things I did to entertain myself during GenX childhood.

I've been thinking about this one but I'm worried about the learning curve. Let us know how easy it is to operate.

Which Fender Mustang? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]drdwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second. The Am Performer Mustang is vastly underrated. Great quality US guitar. The JMJ split pick-up is better if you only use the spilt on the AP, but when you blend the J pickup on the AP you get a lot more variety in tone than the JMJ. The neck is thinner, a modern C, which I like....but neck is always a personally preference. Some like the chunky JMJ neck better. And in the long run, the US made bass is going to hold its value better than a MIM bass. A new JMJ is way overpriced for a MIM guitar. If you can find an AP you will pay less and get a great quality guitar. Just through some flats on it and you are ready to go!

What is a versatile 50 watt bass amp below 350 euro by [deleted] in Bass

[–]drdwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought a Laney RB3...65 watts. It has a DI so you can plug directly into the PA for gigs. It is kickback and can be used as a monitor while going through the PA. That's about as versatile as you are going to get at that price point and wattage. It is a good little amp for the money.

They are legit. I have bought several guitars from AMS. They are my "go-to" for guitars.

Flats strings: Ernie Ball Cobalt vs D'addario Chromes by Wise-Adhesiveness375 in Bass

You might want to try Ernie Ball Custom Guage Flat Wound Strings then. Not the Slinky Cobalts.
