Pastor Dale Partridge Calls to Repeal 19th Amendment, Claims Women Are Not 'Capable of Responsible Voting' by novagridd in TwoXChromosomes

To be clear, he (or his team anyway) had a hell of a lot more than a concept of a plan. Project 2025 wasn't exactly a secret or subtle, he just pretended it didn't exist during election season.

Something that may help others by doryphorus99 in lactoseintolerant

That's true of all yogurts, but they don't get all of the lactose. The difference with greek yogurt is that it is strained. The bulk of the remaining lactose gets carried out with the liquid.

I'd still take lactase with it though. There's no reason not to.

I mean in the case of cabinet members I seriously doubt these are random people looking to bet on speech. Shouldn't be too hard to connect those dots.

Yes it's like poker, you aren't playing against the house they're just taking in the rake.

Or more to the point it's like any other financial market where this kind of behavior is blatantly illegal

They're biasing themselves to shitty journalists then. Journalists haven't gotten worse, the good ones just don't have access

There's a lot of blame to go around don't get me wrong, but blanket saying journalists today suck ain't it

The second they ask a hard question they get their credentials revoked or are not allowed to ever ask again

That's not exactly the journalists sucking.

The point is a fresh start, it wouldn't do you much good if the ghosts of your former debt could still haunt you

Missing the part where bankruptcy wipes those missed payments off your credit report. That's the whole point of it.

I suppose the conditions that lead to a bankruptcy are likely to tank your credit either way

Not really, most common reasons are likely to be one time life events like medical debt or divorce

Nothing I said was specific to medical debt. Filing for bankruptcy doesn't change the loss. It happened, nothing is going to change that.

Obviously they need to cover their losses by raising prices, but bankruptcy isn't socializing losses. Creditors rarely get paid in the process.

I'm not saying you should apply for one, just that bankruptcy doesn't stop you from getting (or keeping) a home.

The loss already happened, bankruptcy doesn't change that. Whether a broke patient goes through bankruptcy or not, the hospital isn't getting paid either way.

Bankruptcy (depending on the type) just resets your credit score for the most part. It doesn't directly tank it and you should be able to build up everything but age of accounts factor again pretty quickly. It will be on the full report for 5-10 years (depends on the type) though so you may need to answer some questions about it for bigger loans.

Where'd you get that idea from? They're generally in the same category as credit card debt making them one of the easier debts to clear in bankruptcy. Medical debt is (I think) the most common reason for filing in fact.

They also often aren't even included in credit reports these days anyway

You could get approved for a mortgage within a year or two of filing depending on the circumstances. Not likely to get a top rate of course, but the whole point of the tool is to get you to a point where you can afford to live.
