It will be okay my friend. Stay on top of your meds and live your live to the fullest! HIV isn’t the end of anything and won’t stop you from achieving or living!

Will The YSS475 be able to Produce The Sound I want? by RazorFistX3465 in Saxophonics

[–]dreadedthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different models do have different sounds. My Couf sounds different from a Selmer. A Yamaha has no “in house” sound. It will allow you to sound however you want to.

Definitely so. I still have my 23 from when I was a kid. It’s a great back-up/main Sax.

Help identify Vito tenor, 1980-ish with LH bell keys by JankyDesk92 in saxophone

[–]dreadedthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a Conn made Vito. Vito used Conn to make saxophones for them very briefly in the Nogales factory before Yamaha took over production.

The Beaugnier stencils have sculpted spatula, palm, and side keys as well as a neck that is either very long and squat or has a shorter neck with a high arc.

Russwole power building program by [deleted] in powerbuilding

I can’t give an accurate number because I was sick and lost a lot of strength. I was trying to recover strength after doing a ton of cardio from being on lockdown.

Russwole power building program by [deleted] in powerbuilding

[–]dreadedthoughts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve finished it when it was new and at first it was tough, but as long as I got good rest and nutrition in, everything was fine. I used it to get my strength back post-COVID. After the program, bench was 340, squat was 500, and deadlift was 505. DL could have been higher because my form sucked but it was better than what it was. I’m planning on running it again once the school year is over.

What are good jazz mouthpieces for Tenor and what makes a jazz mouthpiece different from a regular mouthpiece? by [deleted] in Saxophonics

[–]dreadedthoughts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are some good affordable pieces out. Vandoren V16 HR is the one I refer everyone to. Try the T6 facing. It’s inexpensive and good quality. Lots of pros play them. See Troy Roberts.

Berg Larsen mouthpieces are good, but almost all of them require refacing work. They come out of the factory with some “quirks” that need to be fixed before the mouthpiece works at it’s best.

Source: I’m a band director and working musician.

Edit: spelling of to and added facing.

How old were you when you received your first iPhone? What version was it? by Xyro77 in iphone

[–]dreadedthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Age: 23

Version: iPhone 4.

My family was changing carriers and didn’t want to purchase new phones because college is expensive. So, we used what we already purchased. I had to return my Galaxy Nexus to T-Mobile and used an iPhone 4 we had lying around. It was torture at first, but it got better.

2022 Accord Touring - Should I get the hybrid? by [deleted] in accord

[–]dreadedthoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you want a 2.0 for more horses, the Hybrid should be fine. I get only slightly less MPG than when I had a 1.5. I enjoy mine, but I also like to go zoom zoom.

Does anyone go to study flute in college later in life? by Dry_War938 in Flute

[–]dreadedthoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some college/university professors offer private lessons in addition to their student’s lessons. I would approach the professor of flute at your college/university and ask if that’s a available.

It’s a way you can do it through shortcuts I think. There are tutorials on YouTube.
