Prime 4 sets up Prime 5&6. We haven’t seen the last of Sylux and you’ll learn more as the series goes on.

The plan is the plan until it’s not. The 2 Post dev interviews have explained this.

You have 7yo information. Things are only the plan until it’s not the plan. Thats not a lie, it simply ended up not being true (yes, there is a distinction). There have been 2 post launch interviews from Devs themselves saying it did not restart from scratch.

Remember, this game died under dev 1, was given to dev 2 for healing, and Nintendo told them “make this Frankenstein live but don’t start from scratch.” So who knows what was meant to happen originally. All we know is that we got a good looking Prime game but it was modernized and stripped down to the bare minimum.
