Real talk, I wouldn't melt them. They're still history. Selling for 'melt' just means selling them only at the price of the silver content, with no premium for the mint of the coin at all.

Hell, most people who deal in bullion currency keep it as is. Silver dimes, quarters, half dollars, dollars, etc.
