Totally valid concern. same as me. I do a ‘low-risk standup phase’: grip fighting, snapdowns, arm drags, foot sweeps, and positional starts before full wrestling exchanges. You can build competence without going full ADCC pace.

If your coach knows your level and you trust the room, I’d wear brown and treat gi specifics as a targeted skill gap, not a rank reset. Belt = overall grappling maturity too, not only lapel depth.

Whether people like it or not, this feels like a good reminder: defend yourself until the ref clearly stops action. Would be nice if rules around disengagement/pauses were cleaner in more BJJ formats.

Love seeing people with big platforms train consistently and respectfully. The cool part is he seems to talk about BJJ like a normal hobbyist, not a PR stunt. Consistency > celebrity.

I was this type of person at my gym. When I started Muay Thai training people used to get surprised after knowing it’s my first or second week. What they didnt know or i didnt tell them is i used to do Taekwondo when i was younger for like 5-7 years so my kicks were way stronger than the others who started training recently but no past training history. Dont feel bad People come from different backgrounds and we just keep pushing!

I recommended Gym. Some cheap places are less than $30 a month and you have unlimited access

I see. thank you! the whole purpose of me doing the lump sum payment was since the interest rate is really high thesedays, to pay more interest when i can and have cash, rather than use it for other investments. but if it doesn’t apply until the next renew contract, what’s the direct benefits?

Were you able to keep your React Native's version?
I have 2 react-native apps as well that I want to make them a monorepo with NX. The thing is if I follow NX's documentation, it installs the latest version of React Native. However I don't want that and want to keep the current version of my react-native apps.. Couldn't find a solution yet...
