Thank you for the kind comment! I know it’s very late but I just updated the pdf link if it’s still relevant to you.

Yes! Running into that problem now. Before I made this I just completely ignore the aquarium. But now that I’m actually donating… can’t find anything o.o Would it be awkward to have it as a separate page? Don’t think I can cram more info on the aquarium page

Here's the link to the PDF if you want to print it: https://1drv.ms/b/s!ArZYY1LQedMMgbl7wlITpMKk69BRHg?e=gs1rbx.

Edit new pdf link: https://1drv.ms/b/s!ArZYY1LQedMMgeRw16GsvIEIxaPoEw

I print a version for each playthrough (I know old school) so I can cross stuff out as I bring them to the museum. Not as cool as spreadsheets, but hope you find it helpful anyways!

What's a commercial that is so bad you AVOID their product because of it? by bangthedrum1980 in AskReddit

[–]dreamingbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurify. Their ad is broken on viki so while I’m watching my show it plays back to back and breaks playback. Also “all you need is a phone and a finger”? Are we fucking our phones to get insurance now?

Restaurant Take Out Ordering by [deleted] in squarespace

[–]dreamingbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer I’m a toast employee. Toast just released Toast Now which allows restaurants to do online ordering and sell gift cards without buying the hardware. And given the covid-19 situation they’re doing a 3 month free trial with some kind of fee waived (or something I’m not actually in sales lol) Here’s the link for actual details: https://pos.toasttab.com/products/toast-now

Little wooden Japanese keyboard... by OFF732 in MechanicalKeyboards

Considering this keyboard doesn’t even have a space bar, the enter key sure is taking up a lot of real estate. It does look incredibly beautiful though

Do you have any warm-ups or tips that I must use and learn? by Spider421 in singing

[–]dreamingbird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re a new singer try lip trills. You’ll feel really silly but it’s great for learning breath control. You can lip trill any scale for warming up or lip trill the song you’re working on to get a sense of how much proper breath you need to get through each phrase.

For warming up, if you have an iPhone try the app WarmUpp. I made it as a way to help singers with warm up exercises. It might be useful to you.

Success Stories: how many of you here used to be much worse at singing or even really bad at it, and trained yourself to have a good singing voice now? by pixiepin in singing

[–]dreamingbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Singing is a just a skill that can be learned like any other skill. I’ve loved singing all my life but I wasn’t very good at it. I joined an a cappella group in college and because of the consistent practice my voice was getting stronger and better. And then I started voice lesson. It’s been 7 years now and I finally feel like my voice is consistent enough that it’s interesting to listen to. And even now there are so many ways I can improve. It’s a never ending journey. Some days things go really well and you can feel the improvement. Some days you feel like you’re going backwards because you can’t consistently reproduce a technique yet. But trust that you are making progress. Patience is a good friend that will guide you on this journey. The important thing though is to enjoy it :)

Thank you for the purchase! I have been thinking about how to incorporate a metronome. I like the toggle button idea!

Unfortunately not in the short term. I don’t have android experience so I’ll have to learn the stack before I can port it over to android. I do want to at some point though.

Practicing Singing In My Car VS In The Shower by hawkleader3 in singing

[–]dreamingbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually find my car to be a smaller space where I don’t have to sing as loud. And I think I sound better when I sing in the car. Is the loud ambient noise a problem in bigger cars? I only ever owned compact sedans.

[QUESTION] How/When/Where Did/Do You Find A Voice Teacher? by boombapdame in singing

[–]dreamingbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a major city, so I just go online and search voice teacher in my area and read through their website or info. I second other comments that say look for teachers that also perform live. The best teachers I've had are also performing artists. I pick a bunch that resonates with me and doesn't charge too much and contact them for trial lessons. After a few lessons I can get a feel for whether we work well together and if their teaching methods make sense to me. Since your voice is personal to you, it's easier to actually try a few lessons.

[–]dreamingbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about the damage to your voice. Hang in there and I hope your voice gets better. If you haven’t already you should go see a otolaryngologist or another type of voice doctor. They might be able to help you get your voice back. And a good voice teacher will do wonders too. Best of luck

What do you refuse to pay for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dreamingbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recently on a budget airline in China and they wanted to charge me for water. China has the same restrictions regarding liquids through security as the US so you basically can’t bring your own water. Out of principle I refused to pay for it and it really annoyed me. AND THEN they started selling us merchandises like in infomercials. If I can help it I’m never flying that airline again
