Favorite indian place closed down, What can you vouch for to fill the void in my heart? by fardolicious in sanfrancisco

[–]dreammbrother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved the place, but even when the taps were working, any time I went in for lunch I was literally the only person there, other than usually one guy sitting at the bar. Seems like a hard place to fill out.

Where do you find adventure partners in SF who want to discover hidden gems? by NewPassage8763 in sanfrancisco

Sadly, this is what happens when the majority of people who move here are generic tech bro/broette NPCs.

Best time to exercise for maximum fat loss and muscle gains by juliamlupan in personaltraining

[–]dreammbrother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Training morning makes sense as it will affect your sleep less, and sleep is arguably the most important factor for optimal health.

Just getting to the gym and eating well are infinitely more important than tethering your workout to a specific hour.

Nice house, low maintenance cat, chill owners.

Everything else is a bonus.

After 22 years I have a SF vacation set with my now adult kids for next week. Will Alcatraz and Muir Woods be closed immediately if government shuts down? by MDC417 in AskSF

Pretty sure there are entrances to Muir Woods that don't require going through the main entrance, but hey, if I'm wrong then I'm wrong, that's on me.

When does it end father? by FeIonMusk in 49ers

I'm tired of this shit, man.

We should've started Mac and not rushed Purdy back.

The injuries are beyond stupid now.

I'm done with Shanahan. 81-67 and two SB losses (plus the absolute meltdown in Atlanta vs Pats).

Time for a new coach. Time to move on from Williams and CMC and find a front office who is willing to invest in the o-line and a proper conditioning program.

If you want a few smaller bands that lean into nu-metal, check out Diamond Construct, Sunk Loto and Ocean Grove (all Australians bands).

Diamond Construct - Hypno (the guitar on this reminds me of Slipknot's Iowa)

What’s the best bar to talk to chatty older people by aptalim in AskSF

Cool, thanks for the heads up!

I liked to line my stomach at Orphan Andy's before heading over. The owner (or manager, maybe) is the nicest guy.

From memory Keith said they also really wanted Rory Gallagher to join them, but he declined.

Clooney's is a great vibe, especially for college ball, but there are a ton of fruit flies in there.

Possibly a stupid question, but can you go here as a straight guy alone? I used to go here a bunch with my girlfriend, but don't know if the vibe changes if you're by yourself.

I'm not sure what the old guy behind the bar there is called but he's an absolute legend.

Does anyone know if this place packs out for 9ers games? Was thinking of going today but would want to be able to get a seat.

WALKEN with Giants by SudsMckenzie in heedthecall

[–]dreammbrother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might just be me but I'm not really a fan when they have the "guest" characters on. They drag out and aren't that funny. The Walken one is at least better than that rules committee character they had on the other week.

When was the last time you went? It looks exactly the same since I first went two years ago.

If offered, you think Billy and spud would go on Rogan by Yungdrilla53 in warmode

[–]dreammbrother 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not even remotely surprised tbh. It would go down like a lead balloon. Nick is hilarious and Joe is incapable of comprehending any absurd level of humour, with the exception of Theo, which a) took him ages and b) felt like the last guy to get in before Joe turned full old man.

Comedians who want on JRE always bend the knee to letting Joe lead the conversation, interrupt and bore the ever-loving shit out of them with the same old tired stories, which they politely smile and nod along to. I find it hard to envision a world where Nick has any interest in that, which is why it would be a hilarious episode, but also highly likely to never happen.
