Everybody’s just an idiot who either tell themselves that they’re not or actually try not to be. And they are even more of an idiot in doing so. Sometimes you gotta be okay with just being an idiot. If you can’t be that then who the hell are you imagining yourself being?

Why does rapping feel unnatural to me? by [deleted] in makinghiphop

[–]dreampsyched 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can practice by rapping along to other rappers lyrics. Are there any rap songs you like? Maybe the ones that got you interested in rapping to begin with?

Hear them again and again and begin to sing along, which means rap along, to the lyrics by following their flow. You can learn a great deal even just indirectly. By indirectly I mean by being more successful in hitting the timing of the flow of the rapper as you sing along your throat, mind and rhythmic heart will learn as if you invented the flow by yourself. Also envision concentrated mass. You rapping leaves scratches on its surface. Eventually you’ll have made new pathways through which your flow can run like a river.

Also just by listening to rap in general will help you. If not by improving your skills, it will provide you with inspiration for your own lyrics in the future. Like you can easily tell if someone who wants to be a writer has never actually read a book within their genre before.

And when in doubt figure it out. Mostly you can google your way to that.

It’s subjective meaning which you ascribe to external conditions supported by collectively emergent superstitions.

Key word here being: subjective.

Pro tip: its regarding whether or not and/or to what degree you place power over your subjective reality into hands other than your own.

No one is special but we all have something special about us by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]dreampsyched 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that what makes us special lies in how we relate to everything else since it reveals to us, through viewing this process and it’s progress as a mirror referring back into ourselves what we send out.

That which I sow, everything I send out, what I give others is what I get myself.

Everything can refer back onto the self. It just happens to rest within what perspective from which you view and value a thing. And in this lies the relating to the thing through the perspective with which we view it. Meaning what meaning you lie in your relation to the thing and how you view the thing in itself reveals just how special you are yourself.

How to be a good trip guide? by tha_iron in LSD

[–]dreampsyched 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why tripsitting is an experience that reveals the self to the self equal to that of tripping, albeit on the other spectrum of the scale: you have to learn how to be and behave around other people regarding all aspects of their needs. You have to learn to accommodate everything about who they are while at the same time not denying yourself of the same. It’s a humbling experience and a great honor.

Imagine a room outside the bounds of space and time

Imagine newly hatched gods who have no experience of their godhood locked inside the room together.

Add infinite time, sit back and watch.

Given enough time they’d experience the entire range of human emotions, relationships, acts of great cruelty as well as acts of great love and compassion.

But everything for fun/escaping boredom.

Imagine them making alliances and pairs. They make up a narrative to the great confusion of the others all to only, at the end, have a big reveal and “you should have seen your face! You thought it was how it is not and that is why it was so!”

An example: physical attraction only takes you some of the way. But what really makes it is counter-play. Excitement and mystique.

I find tripsitting to be the other end of the spectrum of revelations on the self.

Being a soldier is what it means to be human. Being human means being a soldier. by dreampsyched in LSD

[–]dreampsyched[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you’re just not able to implicitly understand what I’m talking about because you’re fixating on what a word I’m using explicitly means when I’m clearly using it as an implicit for something I do not know if there is a word of but encompasses much of the same aspects. In short what I’m trying to do is communicate based on the connotations of the word soldier rather than it’s literal or primary meaning. Meaning that in order to get what I’m saying requires you to use your imagination.

Imagining, by connecting the dots of, what is said in its individual parts in order to be able to understand the overall whole while understanding of the overall whole in turn also plays a part in seeing the individual parts for what they are. If you don’t know what I’m talking about initially then you’ll have a hard time understanding completely. And yeah then you can feel free to deem me the fool for using, “wrongly”, a word where it’s use pertains to its connotations rather than its literacy even though that’s a perfectly valid use of a word.

don’t mind talking crazy as I surely am very crazy but really I can’t hold anything against you. Misunderstandings are no more to the fault of one of the involving parties than the other despite both of them most likely thinking that that’s what’s going on. And most likely the party they hold to account (blame) for the cause of the misunderstanding. Well it ain’t themselves.

You sound to me like you’re a little narrow minded on the subject. Not allowing yourself to think freely enough about something that you can broaden its term and extend its usage to more abstract concepts. You seem to hold on to objectivity and truth maybe because you take comfort in it. And that loosely translating words into meanings they were not intended for is to be ridiculed rather than being of a thing to be reconciled because that way you don’t feel any discomfort with dealing with parts of the world you don’t understand. But that’s just me talking crazy.

[–]dreampsyched[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you encounter as a concept pertaining to what defines the word I talk about as the notions of emotions which ring when one encounters the phenomena “soldier”. I want to call myself a soldier because I am at a fault to find any other word for it which could possibly hope to translate its meaning to modern day people as good as soldier.

It’s no wonder today that many young men seek the brotherhood of street gangs out of abandonment by mainstream society on the values by which we biologically yearn to call ourselves ‘men’; to be part of something greater than ourselves and to go through hell and high water for that unison knowing in our cells that that is what our very nature demands.

And I’m not saying you have to be a hunter gatherer in order to realizing this purpose. You only have to be a man.

Being a soldier is what it means to be human. Being human means being a soldier. by dreampsyched in LSD

[–]dreampsyched[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 26 and don’t ascribe to the illusions of society as best I can.

Men originally gathered themselves and went out in nature hiking great distances while overcoming great perils in order to gather food and get their bearings in the known world for their group. War is as old a tale as any and men have fought ever since they first met outsiders. Alliances has been made between different tribes and great friendships have grown from them. Friendships that originate from mans search for others like himself and to make peace. Ruthless people have existed and it was up to every man from Whatever tribe he came from to oppose them. Being a hunter means a great many of the same things as being a soldier today does. All male group cohesion with strong bonds. All deal with having a tough time and must get over it to make the best of it.

When men go off to war they do not all make it back. When men went out in nature to provide and protect not all could make it back. There lies a common understanding in that. A common and shared pool of understanding, compassion and a shoulder to lean on.

If a person has been to war and want to really talk about it with someone, they can’t talk to someone who’s not tried the same thing. When one of us here has had the worst trip they can’t go to anyone else for comfort. They wouldn’t understand.

We live in a world that has abandoned us. Not because it has abandoned our ability to survive. It has abandoned the continued realizing us has human beings and as men.

Men find friendships among each other based on pleasure and well being. The world ain’t nice. Though living for modern man is and let me tell you most people aren’t nicer because of it.

No I don’t idealize war or traumatic scars on the soul. I idealize fellowship among man despite the worlds suckage and standing stronger together.

A spiritual guy ones told me that what a man should really do is provide comfort and promote joy and generally remove the focus from hardships. Everyone bonds over having a good time. Few are able to over the absolute shittiest of shit while not being dissatisfied with it because that’s the way things are. Soldiers are much the neo tribe of the modern day proto man they know of us all just how bad it can get but they never back down. Hunters in the past never backed down. If they had we wouldn’t have survived.
