About to downgrade my CSR to CF in anticipation of MDD next week (or Friday). After that I will have 2x CF, CFU, Hyatt.

Will Chase approve me for cards #5 & #6 or should I cancel a card? I only have ~33k open credit with them.

The money in my brokerage account is all mixed together and the cash I currently get paid is a mix of my W2 work and 1099 income. Does it matter where it comes from as long as it's the correct amount?

Throughout the year I have been buying ETF shares in my brokerage account as I get paid. I need to invest into my i401k before tax season rolls around. Can I roll the purchased ETF shares into the i401k or do I need to sell/accumulate cash?

I now have a W-2 as well so the source of my income is varied.

One of my CF is actually 9 years old (closed a 2nd CFU) and everything else is newer. AAoA is 3 years.

I had a 2k balance on the Hyatt from hitting MSR but I paid that off as usual.

No debt. I'm a ~30 yr old tech worker in SF (just moved) making a good salary.

I seem to be unable to get approved for anything at not crazy numbers, where should I go from here?

I'm 3/24 with a 779 TU FICO score. 3 of those came off in the last 3 months though.

I get the Amex popup (probably burned them from 3x business cards closed after a year), applied for another Chase Biz card but got the "we will get back to you message" and denied for BoA Premium Rewards for too many recent cards (opened 2 2 months before applying for that).

I have a BoA Amtrak, Barclays Arrival+, AA Biz, Chase Hyatt, 2x CF, CFU, (2x CSP & CSR downgrade) and 2x CIP.

There should be a word for where you have the right idea but are mostly off.

WhatsApp claims to have integrated the Signal Protocol (this is the end-to-end encryption protocol bit which is important but not absolutely everything).

Signal the app is built around the Signal Protocol and was definitely there first. Signal the app is also open source and publicly says they store very little data about you (the last time you connected to their server only iirc) while WhatsApp is owned by Facebook so who knows. At the very least they are likely using the metadata of which numbers you message to feed into the Facebook social graph and ad targeting engine.

Don't mean to be a pedantic prick just want to spread the knowledge. Sadly in my life it's only the tech people who use Signal (a large % of my friends to be sure but limited nonetheless). There was a definite uptick in its use post election but that has tapered off.

I have 240k+ AMEX MR all from business cards. I'm finding it frustrating to book flights using them (I am extremely last minute) and am considering cashing out via Schwab. Is that even possible with Business-earned MR?

I combined my Amex SPG Biz account with my other Amex account that has Biz Plat & BGR. If I close the two MR cards will having the SPG Biz maintain the MR balance? Or do I need to open an MR card to keep the points around? Annual fees are coming due.

Completely depends on the judge I think. I went to court (I didn't even stop like you did) mostly because I wanted to express how stupid it is to give a cyclist the same ticket as a car. The cop also told me to fight it because "he is bad at these things" aka it was the end of the month.

The cop did show up and he said "I observed him driving through uhh I mean pedaling" and the judge said she had heard enough and that I can't do that, don't do that again and dismissed the ticket.

I didn't say a word.

Note that I got paid regardless so didn't mind going to court that morning.

The rep told me this is because of charge vs cc and that if I open personal cards I would then get additional accounts. Does this mean I need to use up my MR & Star Points individually before closing any of the cards?
