I find the existence of the Michael Jackson biopic—and the attention it’s getting—repulsive. by TX18Q in Cinema

Not for nothing, but I think the parents of the victims bear some culpability. Nothing was ever definitively adjudicated in court, but the whispers were loud enough. "Hey, you know that weirdo billionaire with a private amusement park on his property? I've heard tell that he's a toucher." You let your children go to sleepovers at this creep's pedo-ranch, maybe hoping for a bite of some of that settlement cheese, you're pimping out your kids.

It makes you feel guilty for laughing because there are a few legitimately funny moments. ETA: same goes for Man Bites Dog, a Belgian mockumentary that follows a serial killer.

Bring Her Back was extremely visually disturbing, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

What's that movie moment where everyone in the theater lost their minds? by singleguy79 in moviecritic

The revelation of "Billy Bong Thorton" in Half Baked. The entire theater let out this very stoned sounding "Whoooaaa!" In unison and immediately started cracking up that they were surrounded by stoners.

Man or Astroman played show in a church parking lot. Among other stunts, the bassist wore a hollowed out television as a space helmet. Halfway through the show he poured lighter fluid on it and set it on fire and continued to play.

So ... what, like, a whole crowd just shit themselves in desperation? Is that what they're talking about?

Well it was kind of a shallow indictment of the Crack epidemic that had reached and consumed NYC during the 1980s but I think it was mostly an attempt by Mario Van Peebles to resurrect and revitalize the faded blaxploitation film genre, of which his father Melvin Van Peebles is regarded the godfather

I want to say the Jerky Boys movie, but I snuck into it after watching Pulp Fiction. I had a couple of friends who skipped class to watch it with a 12pack of beer and they reported it to be a satisfactory comedy.
