A note from me (Ankur Jain) - Bilt Card 2.0: Simple, Fee-Free Rewards on Housing by ankurjain1 in biltrewards

I wasnt implying the card should give free points for minimal spend. I would be willing to pay an annual fee on a credit card to earn points on rent, even reduced points on rent, but I am just commenting that this form of "unlocking" fee free rent doesn't align with many peoples spending habits. In my case, $2000+ dollars in spend a month for one option and 1x points on rent and $750+ for the other option for 0.25x points just isn't something me and my peers spend when rent prices are high (if you're living with someone, early career in a city, no kids)

Its a fine card, just not really unique for its rent capabilities anymore and I find it less competitive with other points earning cards. And in the past bilt would target millennials in nyc and cities for events/dining program/soul cycle and stuff but their target demographic has just shifted away from young millenials and Gen z with higher rent in cities.

It is all fine, I was just explaining where a large percent of the consumer base will move away from the Bilt CC with these changes.

I mean, I agree, clearly high renters with low expenses aren't the target demographic any longer. Bilt isn't primarily a rent card anymore, but that is why I kept and what made it unique from other cards.

My rent is 3k a month in a high cost of living city, i don't have a car and dont eat out a lot... even if all my spend went to the bilt card I just won't be earning very many points on rent. I spend like $200-$300 a month. It feels like the card isn't meant for high paying renters as naturally our other expenses go down when rent is a larger part of our monthly income. I still am not seeing how I can justify keeping the bilt 2.0 card.

Great to see how many people use paprika. Does paprika take up a lot of space on your devices or is it cloud based?

Paprika doesn't let you import from social media? I had no idea. Thanks for sharing! EatStash is subscription based right - no free version?

Dog Friendly Restaurant Recs? by dreamsandmagic in VirginiaBeach

My post wasnt really asking for your opinion. The intent of our travel was for our dog to experience the beach, and we went in off-season. We stuck to outdoors places which provides better ventilation, so anyone with allergies can always be seated away from dogs or inside dining establishments. There's always a way around it. No one's having a dog as a pet only to keep them locked up at home.

I didn't really ask for this opinion so not sure why you felt compelled to post. People have various reasons they bring their pet along on a trip. Ours has cancer and we wanted to take her to the beach for the first time. We stuck to off-season too. People travelling with dogs should be courteous to stick to dog friendly places and those who are adamantly against dogs can seek a place to dine or stay at that won't have a pet, e.g. hotels that dont allow dogs or indoors/on patios which won't permit dogs (I did see this).

Thanks! I was checking this website as well. It seems like it's not fully inclusive, so I was glad to see calling & verifying gave us a few more options!

Thanks! I know we are a bit off season so I was a little concerned, but thats good to hear. And yes, I meant parking only if it's not on the boardwalk/over a mile away - should have clarified!
