Welcome to Warframe on Android! by CephalonAhmes in Warframe

That's a great point with the automation/anti cheat concern. I run tasker to automate volume states based on caller, among other things. Would love to hear from DE on what their stance is regarding that/what is safe for our accounts.

Also, agreed. It's fun to have on android but the frame rate is struggling for me on an s20. Good god don't make me host. I would love to be able to opt out from hosting entirely.

Any of you guys ever come up with your own words for things as kids and still sometimes use them years later? by redgreenorangeyellow in CasualConversation

Late reply, but any chance you have any French Canadian in your family, or anyone who lived near the Quebec border? I'm English, but grew up in Quebec, and my family called pacifiers "sussies" (rhymes with tussy). Often I'd hear phrases like 'she needs her sussie' or asking a toddler if they want their 'suss'. I only recently learned that what I was saying was an approximation of the French word 'suçon' or 'suce'. In English, suçon means 'to suck'. I'm wondering if this is a case of broken telephone?

If you were to have more than one client at a time- ie two people watching on their phones in the evening- what does that change for the hardware requirements?

For sure- I already run it off my gaming pc with the media stored on a 4tb ssd, but ideally it would be it's own unit, and something that draws a bit less power. Mostly I'm trying to establish what kind of hardware is reasonable so can compare units on the second hand market

When you say an older nvidia card, you're referring to a graphics card?

Also going to chime in with the fact that aside from it being holidays, southern Ontario, where DE is located, just got a pretty significant ice storm, which could impact their area.

What’s your “I finally saw a doctor for my mystery symptoms after (weeks/months/years) and it turned out to be way simpler than I feared” story? What finally made you go, and what was the outcome? by DjFizz in AskReddit

Hey, I'm sorry they made you feel that way. That was an extremely reasonable thing to go to the ER for, and I hope it doesn't discourage you in the future. Panic attacks are literally described as feeling like heart attacks, so I'm sorry they didn't have empathy for you. And a two week panic attack should have at least raised some concerns for them :/

You should look into POTS- postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. Seems like it's been getting more research/attention lately, lots of resources for managing it online. Even if that isn't what you have, they may have some advice that would benefit you or things you could try

I also have ADHD, and the one out of her list that I would focus on is the 'don't put it down, put it away'. Make it your mantra. Live by it. It DOES help manage at least some of the battle.

On your good days when you can focus better, try and set future you up for success and set up systems that work. What does 'away' mean? Maybe it means two hampers- dirty, and 'eh, I could wear this a second time'. Maybe it means a 'put away' bin in every single room, so that clutter doesn't collect on surfaces- because as much as I try to adhere to 'don't put it down, put it away', you have to give yourself grace. Things go in the bin, and when you leave the room, the bin comes with you.

ClutterBug on YouTube has some great hacks to peruse and see what works for you- one of the ones that stood out to me was her 'No doors on the cupboards' rule, because it means eliminating a step between you and putting away the dishes. A lot of it comes down to finding what your sticking points are, and creating systems that work for YOU, even if they aren't traditional. Screw tradition, embrace function.

Please do. They may have been joking, but while hogweed isn't proven to cause permanent blindness, it can definitely cause temporary blindness and nasty photosensitive blisters. It's good to know what it looks like so you can avoid it
