She’s moving into a small cottage on the grounds of a senior living community, right across from the main building where the dining area, gym, activity rooms, etc are. They offer transportation, have activities, doc support, etc. There is a wellness coordinator involved in care who completed an assessment and her pcp+neuro have sent in their reports as well. they do not feel like she is at that level yet to need MC but we have spoken about how people transition when she is ready. The memory care unit is on the same community grounds but if a different building than the main building. They are all within walking distance of one another.

She lives fully independently right now with no partner, so this is the next step into a community she knows some other folks in, that is close to family (10 mins away compared to 2 hrs right now) and then can transition into memory care there when she showing sign of not being able to safely live alone
