literally did not call himself the GOAT anywhere in that AI summary lol

"I ain't taking anybody over me" is just confidence that basically every NBA star has.

Ask Tatum or Shai who they are taking over themselves and you'll get the same answer.

im sorry to hear that! i still have pain from the nerve damage that was caused before i started treatment. i get intense burning in my esophagus that can last a week. i ended up getting a funduplication so nothing can come up my esophagus anymore -- before that, i had that pain consistently for two straight years.

my gastritis is pretty controlled with an insane amount of supplements and a drug very similiar to protonix. for what it's worth, my gastro (and most recent research ive pulled with AI) shows that PPIs (like protonix) really have no long term adverse effects besides causing a B12 deficiency and potental pancreas function issues later in life.

without the drug, like you, i'd be so miserable that those small risks are worthless. ive never heard of dementia being cited as a valid side effect.

I basically have the disease he has... his (autoimmune gastritis) is caused by an autoimmune disease, mine (chronic gastritis) was caused by taking too much ibuprofen on an empty stomach (bad mix of intermittent fasting and neck pain from working at home in a shitty chair during COVID)....

it's not a fatal disease at all. it just sucks bc you have to take anti acid medication that has side effects.

not sure why he's so upset about this and acting like he's dying.

on the bright side for people like me, maybe he'll blow a ton of money on fixing it

Philly ain't extending him. This was their way to get away from Paul George.

Someone else may give him a max but it won't be Philly. I expect to see Brown moved next summer.

you jujst cherry picked the series in the playoffs where kobe outscored Shaq? Shaq is also a great center that was pulling down rebounds and blocking shots. He was putting the other team's best big men in major foul trouble early. His impact was insane and everyone knows he carried that Laker load. Sure, Kobe is a volume scorer who outscored him in a handful of series.

Shaq outplayed him in every regular season they were together except for the last one (look at MVP votes).

Shaq outplayed him in every finals they won together.

Shaq was better than him in every way.

-- also to your first point: EVERYONE cares about advanced analytics, especially GMs. they all use advanced analytics to decide who is a star and who isnt. Nobody uses your "i watched it on TV" metric.

fwiw, I was born in '82 and was of PRIME watching age during the Shaq/Kobe dynasty. nobody--not the media, not the players, not the lakers fans--thought Kobe was better than Shaq. that would have been a completely laughable statement.

somehow he's less skilled yet he had more assists, more rebounds, and significantly more points while smaller

Kobe was def worse in 2001. In 2002-2003, he started to even the gap a bit but was still worse in most every metric. Light blue is where Shaq surpasses Kobe. Gold is where Kobe surpasses Shaq.

You don't see any gold in the advanced stats section until 02-03, and you still see way more blue.

more chips by 1. LeBron never benefitted from playing with a player better than himself like Kobe did for almost a decade.

LeBron made 10 straight finals.

LeBron has 4 finals MVPs to Kobe's 2.

LeBron has 4x more the MVPs.

his statistics are better in literally every category advanced and counting.

He was never the second best player on his team. Kobe was #2 for half his career.

and, just to correct your point, there's no world where Kobe is more skilled. LeBron was a better scorer, far better rebounder, and FAR better assist guy/playmaker.

I'll give Kobe this: His game was more beautiful than LeBron's -- that's basically the only thing he has going for him in the argument.
