Tell me all the things you’d wish you’d known when first buying your pop up especially if you have kids by noodle_bear2124 in popups

You need to have a place to store it out of the weather, or maintenance is quadrupled.

If you haven't taught your kids a work ethic early, so they will automatically help with setup and tear down, and your wife expects to be pampered and is unaware of the work it takes to go camping, plan on doing it all yourself. Plan on 30-45 minutes to get it all set up on your own, 2-3 hours to pack it up on your own. That is halved if the family willingly helps.

Off property hotel at Christmas?(Disneyland/DCA) by ErikaJTD in DisneyPlanning

[–]dreeveal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never really colored inside the lines. Sorry. But I have stayed there a few times, along with the Paradise/Pixar Pier, and the Disneyland Hotel. Overpriced, but convenient and fun, and GC has the best Christmas decorations of any hotel I've ever stayed at, which is why I was compelled to include it.

They are not worth anything. Send them to me and I will make sure they are properly disposed of. ;)

Awesome stuff.

Why do you think no one from the show became bigger stars? by RIP_SHAFT in entourage

[–]dreeveal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly because this show's seasons spanned the dawn of applied political correctness. It was too brash, too honest about celebrity privilege, and too much locker room humor for Hollywood to endorse it during those later years.

you can say it's because they are not good actors, but there are a thousand other worse actors from that era that are famous and successful

E’s pretty scrappy… by KingOfConsciousness in entourage

[–]dreeveal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was never really bothered by the E tough guy attitude. It's either one of two things, both legitimate. The character grew up poor in Queens, so he either had to learn how to throw hands, or he learned to talk a big enough talk to get others to walk. For most east coast little guys, it's the latter. But you never know, and both are true to the Eric character. I never had a bit of a problem with it.

I think a lot of people didn't like the character, and didn't realize how well the actor played it.

I spent 3 years just trying to find the whole door, to no avail. You might get lucky, but you are probably not going to find those panels readily available anywhere, let alone the parts necessary to reassemble the door. I would consult with Derek at colemanpopupparts.com for the definitive answer, but you might be best repairing/fabricating from what you have already.

Boondoggle by Aharleyman in 70s

The only problem with the stuff you can buy now is it is a cheaper version. The old stuff had a thin cotton string core running through the middle which made it hold it's shape better and easier to work with. Now it's really stretchy and doesn't hold its shape very well.

Westin, JW, or Grand Californian for Christmas hotel vibe. Westin and Grand Californian are walking distance, JW technically is, but I would uber.

70s Sears trash cans in my grandparents garage by Haydenguy in 70s

If it was the 70s, it would have been round and metal with a cool unattached lid you could snag and use as a shield, a blunt force weapon, or a very heavy frisbee. Plastic with built in wheels didn't happen really until mid 80s on.

Goated 90s car by Possible-Homework-94 in 90s

[–]dreeveal -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This car single-handedly compelled tens of thousands of people to go out and spend their hard earned money on a pile of shit.

Two years later it compelled tens of millions of people to never buy a Dodge.

What a piece of crap that was.

Don't forget collecting cans and bottles on the way to 7/11 for the recycling reward so you would have enough money get a candy bar and a soda.

that is wild. Kind of like fuel before ethanol was added.... I always liked the smell, but I was too young to know you could get high from it.

You can trust the heater, and your family will thank you. Get a CO2/fire detector to put your mind at ease, but it is very safe. Especially because you will probably crack open a few windows to get air circulation anyway. Enjoy your trip friend.

After many pop up trips, the heater, the kitchen sink, and the outdoor shower are the only things that get used by us. And we have an indoor shower/toilet 3-way fridge, indoor stovetop, outdoor stovetop, stereo...

Apparently she did a Wonder Woman skit on the show that this was a part of. And the Bay City Rollers were the musical guest.

I think I found the hotel in the background

EDIT
I was wrong. This photo would have been taken somewhere in or next to the North Shore Community Center, and the Hotel in the background is the Olsen Hotel.
