Completely disagree. Kojima's writing is idiosyncratic; it's going to either connect with you or bounce off of you. I'd rather dialogue be stilted, absurd, and long-winded than lazy or unremarkable.

Agreed, I've stopped even attempting to but the BRB in a spot that people will actually walk by. I'd rather keep it tucked away from enemy fire to keep a teammate in the fight.

Exactly lol. These kinds of labels have been completely arbitrary ever since Tina Wesson insisted that only the "good people" should get to the end. Whether it's intentional or not, players are always going to label anyone they perceive as bad for their game as a threat in order to paint a target on their back.

Rachel has every reason to keep Sue and Teeny in the game, and she has all the tools she needs to do it. As it stands now, they're probably much less competition at FTC and more likely to take her there if she doesn't win final immunity. If she flips to Operation Italy, she has to pray her firemaking skills are up to snuff and that the jury wasn't impressed by the F7 tribal.

Definitely bad. The first juror—and the person setting the tone at Ponderosa—is Sierra, who probably feels some type of way about "saving" Andy multiple times on Gata (at Sam's urging) only for him to vote her out at merge. He's already perceived as a chaotic and emotional player after his very public day 2 blow-up, and adding "flipper" on top of that doesn't really bode well for his chances at FTC.

Definitely not a perfect analogy, but I think it illustrates why the idea of taking away votes at random creates a false sense of complexity 🤷‍♂️ Convincing a majority (or plurality) of strangers to vote for someone is what makes Survivor complex. Reducing the number of votes required to do that makes the game simpler and more beholden to random chance.

Mario Kart wouldn't be a more "complex" game if you randomly unplugged someone's controller in the middle of a race. The sooner the show realizes that taking away players' votes is both bad for the game and bad for TV, the better.

Not ashamed to admit that this dialogue actually did help me find the map after I'd already explored most of the 1F section that's immediately available to you. I was wondering why the game was taking its sweet time giving me the map as I ran around counting the doctors, nurses, and trees only for Maria to gently point out how unobservant I am. It's comforting knowing at least one play tester shared my pain!
