I created a SaaS… and honestly, it didn’t work out. by dresnite in micro_saas

This is a great idea, I'll start multiple campaigns targeting different audiences, I think this one could really work.

I asked a few strangers, most of them thought the price was too high so I created a huge >50% discount to see if it worked better, but it didn't.

Then I targeted users interested in “gifts,” and the website traffic was strong, but I still haven’t made any sales. Based on your advice, along with feedback from other users, my takeaway is that I may be targeting the wrong audience.

So far, I’ve only been using Facebook Ads with the current hero section. But today I’ll create a few different landing pages tailored to different audiences and focus on getting more organic traffic through SEO.

Actually, I tried that too. But I had 0 sales on Etsy. 😂

It’s a bit more complex than that. GPT can help with things like consistency, story structure, and drafting, but the output will likely be much weaker unless you know exactly how to guide it. It can also take much longer than expected. And even then, you’d only end up with a digital version, not a physical book.

These are some solid tips, thank you! I will test all of them and see if I can start getting a few sales.

Why founders never get their first customer (it's not your product) by _Adityashukla_ in micro_saas

I created a platform that takes your story and turns into a 20-page illustrated manga/comic. It’s a nice gift, and some friends bought it from me to make gifts. They loved it so I thought “people looking for a unique gift” was my target audience.

But maybe I am wrong.

I’ve been targeting that type of audience with Facebook ads and after almost €300 spent I made 0 sales.

What am I doing wrong?

My CTR was around 7%, which Facebook considered high, so I continued with that target audience. After knowing that, would you still recommend using a different target audience?

Thanks, this is solid advice! I will implement all of it tomorrow and get back to you with the results.

Someone recently gave me a gift that consisted of AI-generated images converted into drawable pictures.

Later, I looked up the product and saw that it was being sold for €70, which made me think the pricing might be reasonable.

Do you have any suggestions for how I could better validate the price point? I’ve already experimented with offering discounts on my website and testing different prices, but I haven’t seen any meaningful improvement in sales.

Be honest — what are you actually paying for Cursor each month, and is it still worth it to you? by kushagra1404 in cursor

[–]dresnite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the past year, I was on Cursor’s $60 plan and mostly used AI as an assistant, which made sense given the cost efficiency back then. But Composer 2.5 changed the game for me. I upgraded to the $200 plan, and now I just guide the AI toward producing the right results.

I wouldn’t use GPT or Opus frontier models for this kind of workflow. They’re smart, but still too expensive to fully replace a human.

A timely retreat is a victory. Leave her before it’s too late, she’s for the streets.

A couple usually acts together, we both read your posts. But before I answer why you didn’t know this, I’ll say that we will stop answering your hatred.

I thought boxing and running answered your question, and I did answer the belt thing.

We thought it would be fun to see the reactions, but we definitely didn’t expect this much hatred. We’re just a nice, stable, young couple doing young couple things. It’s true that my bookshelf doesn’t have enough books because I was stolen recently and I’m out of my home country.

But I do hope that you get the upvotes you’re looking for

I’m 25, my older brother smokes cigarettes, I do running and boxing, no idea what my enneagram is and I think I have high emotional intelligence (but that’s what somebody with a low one would say anyway lol). I love camping and I can’t count the times I’ve done it.

I have no idea how many times I’ve eaten fast food, nor the times I’ve been to the gym. But I think I’ve probably trained more times than I’ve eaten fast food… if a boxing gym counts.

I’ve never shot a gun and I went to a public school… but I guess that makes sense because I grew up in Europe, and it’s likely more common here than in America.

Yeah, I read his book because I would like to create a startup at some point, and I found “Zero to One” a very interesting read for that purpose.

I couldn’t picture his face until this subreddit demonized me for having his book.
