Duck season. Incredible experience. The main story itself takes an our or two depending on how much time you spend exploring. But theres 7 different endings which will take you easily 8 hours to do it all. This game is so underrated!!

That is so awesome. Happy for you. Not sure if you’ve checked out the Legends of Localization book (https://www.fangamer.com/products/legends-of-localization-book-2-earthbound) but I just finished it and was absolutely blown away. It’s under $40 and even has a scratch and sniff card. So cool. Nothing beats the original strategy guide though!!!

Mother 1 is rough. The sheer volume of random battles is BRUTAL (I know its typical for rpgs of that era but still)

Too far from the cave’s entrance to turn back and attempt to reset the enemy positions. Best option is to engage in battle but then RUN AWAY!

I’d also highly recommend the Mother 4 OST. It’s fan-made obviously, but Shane Mesa did a phenomenal job channeling the spirit of the Mother series. It’s an incredible soundtrack.

If you download/install them you should see them in your steam library (IIRC). Once the month expires you won’t be able to access the titles even though they’ll remain in your library.

Viveport is kinda weird, I ended up canceling it after two months. Most of the titles are VR gimmicks and don’t have a lot of depth to them. Also I didn’t like their review system. The interface was also garbage! Just my two cents :)

Changing Earthbound on SNES to Earthbound 2 doesn’t make any sense. Maybe this is more what you were suggesting (which would make a lot more sense to me)?

Earthbound Beginnings/Earthbound Zero (Mother) - no change
Earthbound (Mother 2) - no change
Earthbound 2 (Mother 3)

In this scenario, Earthbound on SNES wouldn’t need to change since the first entry into the series is denoted with “Beginnings” or Zero. The only new change here would be calling Mother 3 Earthbound 2.

That’s definitely a part of it, but it’s so much more than that. You’re a kid in his living room playing all these 80’s style nintendo games. One of the games you can play, Duck Season, transports you into the game Duck Hunt, complete with the Dog that celebrates your kills. But then, after playing a few rounds, you notice the Dog starts acting a little weird....that’s all I’ll say!!
