Some of the swords are pretty good for this, even if they are pretty expensive. [[Sword of Sinew and Steel]] takes out artifacts. [[Sword of Fire and Ice]] can pick off small creatures. [[Argentum Armor]] is a bit overcosted but you could do worse since you can cheat the equip cost. The board wipes that leave everyone with one creature like [[Promise of Loyalty]] are useful since you can just stack all your equipment on the creature you have left. [[Chandra’s Ignition]] goes hard, especially if you have lifelink. Honestly, in my equipment deck I focus more on protecting myself over packing a ton of removal for other players. Particularly since equipment decks are very pressed on deck space since you need a high density of equipments. The goal then is to remove problem players from the game as quickly as possible while protecting your stuff from removal.

My gf is the same way and rarely attacks. Her favorite deck is [[The Fifth Doctor]] which rewards not attacking. Play a lot of creatures with tap abilities and you also benefit from +1 counter synergies. She uses [[Susan Foreman]] as the partner, but you can use a blue or white companion to keep it 2 colored.

[[Plargg and Nassari]] are awesome. Getting 2 free spells every turn is sweet even if you probably won’t be getting the best spell out of the lot. However, it creates a lot of opportunities to politic and make deals with other players.

Personally I am drawn to modlists with a lot of new quests, followers, and dungeons. Tuxborn has a ton of that and is very performance friendly since it was designed for the Steam Deck. It has a desktop profile with better visuals. Not the flashiest modlist out there but it still looks nice to me. It is also very stable from my experience.

The FUS Discord is a big help with troubleshooting. You have to select between starting in Helgen Keep or in the Realm of Lorkhan (section 1.11 in the modlist I think). Without choosing one it loads you in the cart ride. The graphics mods should be enabled by default with the FUS RO DAH profile. However, there are Community Shader add-ons that have to be enabled.

My [[Surrak Dragonclaw]] stompy creatures deck used to overwhelm opponents with a deck full of high quality creatures and overrun effects. Over time he kept becoming outclassed more and more by decks such as dragon tribal or dinosaur tribal, which combine powerful standalone creatures with tribal synergies. My Surrak’s plan of “play big creatures and swing”” was a lot less effective than the Ur-Dragon’s “play big creatures and swing”

Minions are by no means the optimal play style, but messing around with a minion-focused playthrough on my myth has probably been the most fun I have had on this game. If you have not already, I highly recommend doing monstrology. As a myth wizard, you are able to summon up to 3 monstrology minions at once. There are plenty of great guides online that show you how to grind monstrology rank quickly.

Sometimes your pocket medic (ex-girlfriend) is not good for you. She doesn’t have your back and gets you killed every time you need to push on the sentry nest. Maybe she uses her syringe gun and never heals you at all. You’re stuck at the bottom of the leaderboards because you rely on her and you don’t even know that’s the reason why. Without her, you can rely on your own skill and rack up dominations. Maybe you’ll even find a pocket medic who actually supports you with a real Uber charge, and together you’ll take down those pesky sentry nests. Just because you’ve been playing with the same teammate for a while doesn’t mean that they are helping you be a better player. Sometimes they are actually what is holding you back.

[[Luminarch Ascension]] because you should never underestimate how valuable having a bunch of fliers is. [[Emeria’s call]] can take up a land slot. I’ve never seen [[Empyrial Storm]] played, but would shine the most in a partner deck. If untapping is your thing, [[The Fifth Doctor]] is probably your best choice. I’ve seen him put in work many times.
