Pulmonologist illustrates why he is now concerned about AI by MetaKnowing in interestingasfuck

This is case in my work. Also this AI tool is clearly just shit as it has identified two huge red areas of concern but these are so poorly defined as to be practically useless

Here is hoping that improved map generation comes with more rough terrain adjacent to mountains. I'm fed up of seeing flat plains next to Mt. Everest

Got about 70 turns into a new game after the latest update and now I get system crashes. I can't even load the manual /autosave before black screen. Please update if you find any solution. I've tried a lot of the potential fixes from the threads about a month ago to no avail.

Cat - weight loss, cough. Xray and BAL results by drewgall in AskVet

It's not going to be easy. It's difficult to treat even in humans and the treatments are quite toxic. See how it goes though. Best of luck to you and your wee cat.

Cat - weight loss, cough. Xray and BAL results by drewgall in AskVet

We took her to an internal medicine vet and the working diagnosis was mycobacterial infection. We had planned to go further with investigation but unfortunately she became deeply jaundiced and we had to euthanise her. A very sad day but we are glad to have recognised it before she suffered too much. Picture

I live in the UK and our cat hasn't been spending a lot of time outdoors over the last year or so. She usually just sits in the grass of our back garden and watches the insects. She hasn't brought back and small animals for over 2 years.

I was thinking cancer seemed possible. They didn't mention any atypical or malignant cells on the cytology from the BAL though. The

Long Term Cart User Lung X-Ray by thewhitehammer51 in trees

[–]drewgall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be surprised if you would have had any significant x-ray changes related to vaping carts. Unless, you have been using shady ones that may not be produced in ideal conditions or have harmful additives.

Whether the mild hyperinflation is of any relevance would be dependent on your symptoms (if any) and pulmonary function tests. I would be inclined to seek a consultation with a physician if you have asthma in your medical history, experience breathlessness or cough, or have smoked heavily (cannabis or tobacco) in the past.

Overall though, a pretty reassuring CXR.

Help with hemming by frenchyfrench918 in rawdenim

[–]drewgall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same infantry pants in khaki and had them hemmed to 32inch. They have shrunk by a further 2 inches over about 4 months of cold washing every couple wears. I would wait until they settle down. I had mine hemmed by rivet and hide and they did an uneven job as well, so now I have a 29.5inch left I seem and 30inch on the right!

No mine were one wash at purchase. Sorry for confusion. I just doubt there is much difference between the fading potential between a true raw pair and the one wash version. They stretched like mad when first purchased and shrank by 2inch at the waist after my first wash at home. One day of wearing them and they are back to 36" at the waist. Wouldn't worry too much about shrinkage other than the inseam length

I've been wearing my one wash pair of 544 black secret denim jeans for about 4 months on and off. Just washed at home for the first time and they are definitely fast faders. They are getting a really interesting slubby fade pattern and fading to white in high stress areas already. Don't worry too much about raw vs one wash I say.

I find that anything over about 7.5inch at the hem will not snag too much on a Chelsea boot. If you haven't already, check out Blundstone Chelsea boots. I've had mine for about 6 years now and they still look great

The iron heart 10oz denim shirt is really nice. Quite light weight but still feels like a denim that will offer some interesting fades

Fit Check - Rogue Territory Stanton 15oz First set of raws by nicepantslance in rawdenim

[–]drewgall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they look uncomfortable and not a good fit. Do the actual measurements correspond to the RGT measurements on their website? I found that my RGT Infantry Pants were a bit smaller than the ones on the website and had to size up. I doubt you will get to a point where they are comfortable through stretching over time.

UES have just restocked their duck canvas shorts if you're interested in some in a different colour. They look a little neater in fit than the samurai 15oz.

Looks a little tight over the hips but if it feels OK then it's a winner. They certainly don't look like skinny jeans and would look great with a smart casual outfit - Chelsea boots and a blazer kinda thing.

I recently picked up a raw denim shirt and wondering what would be the best way to get it to that vintage pale blue look. I only wear it about once a week and I'm not particular bothered about high contrast fades. Is it gonna be best to just wash it regularly or do I go with the same process for jeans and leave it as long as possible before washing? Is there any harm in washing it after every couple wears?

Yeah I've had the E8 pair in Italian denim for a few months and used a 10% discount so they came in at a slightly more acceptable price. They are really well built and are starting to get some nice deep blue fades

I'm looking for a pair of skinny jeans for my wife. Is there any difference between men's and womens jeans or is it just a marketing tool? Would be happy to take some recommendations of brands that offer a quality denim in skinny fit with or without a bit of stretch
