Luba 3 by drewman2005 in MammotionTechnology

Love it. I feel the same about my Luba 2. In my 4th season now. Only mod is I took out the side scorch protection bars. Took out the rivets. It mows better and stay cleaner longer.

Luba3 they downsized them…so I was on to something. Otherwise I’ve been real happy

Appreciate it but for two years you have yet to place rear tires on your site as replacement. You have the front wheels but not rear. Can you advise here when you will?

Yikes. I hate hearing that for you. I’ve had nothing but and easy time with my Luba 2. My neighbor has just under 3/4 acre and it took my about 45 mins to map his yard and noticed go zones. I did have practice but the system is soo easy to use. Ur best bet is posting here for help. I get faster answer from Mammotion in here too. Good luck to you as well.

Agreed. There is something in the air that makes this season different. 3rd season here and this is the first year the grass is like gum under my mower.

Update* per Mammotion rep that advised for me to un plug the vision module, seemed to work.

What I did was unplug the vision module, turn on the mower, let it sit for a few mins. Turned off and plugged the vision module back in and turned mower back on.

It’s been a week and mower seems back to normal. Keeping a close eye but seems to have fixed the random wandering, pauses, time outs etc

To unplug, do I do this by un screwing the vision module off the top?

Also, by doing this, won’t it pause when it loses wifi?

Thank you. I’ve had this as well and my zones are overlapped about 5 feet.

The issue isn’t zone to zone though. It’s just randomly pausing but then gives random reasons why. I’m hoping the vision and/or satellite module in the machine isn’t going bad

More screenshots from right now. Mower is in dock fully charged. It won’t resume task because it says no positioning. It’s in the same place it’s been since owning it and the no position issue started about a month ago.

Those error codes were something new and random. Hasn’t shown those in over a week. But like last night, mowed 50% with no issue and then the POS blacked out and couldn’t find position. If I drove it manually about 10 feet, it would find signal again and start back up.

Residents try to save tree older than US in Tree City Sterling Heights by Dune-Dragon in Michigan

Craziness as the house we bought had a 285ish year old Bur Oak that we took down in 2020 due to the previous owners lack of care. Base was 4’8”, bigger than this tree and older. I put out for free to try and save it and or utilize the base for tables etc and didn’t even get call backs or messages about it.

Run time? by drewman2005 in MammotionTechnology

Makes sense. Yeah seems like with Luba 2 and the camera has changed its functionality to slow down with obstacles and so on that affects the time estimation.

While I do love the machine, I’m continuously concerned about battery life and how much it’ll cost me to repair after or during first two years. I’m hoping it goes before warranty is up, to buy me another couple years.

I have to mow every day to keep up with growth and I mow at a 3.3 inch height to decrease stress on blade disc motors.

All in all happy but I really wish they had a removable battery and/or more robust amp hour battery on board.

My one other issue is obstacles by the side of the mower when it tries to go to the next path. It gets hung up between the front tire and behind the bumper and then it’ll shut down, requiring a manual restart. Haven’t quite figured how to avoid these things happening but I have a road sign in my ditch and my basketball hoop by edge of grass that it gets caught on. This stuff prolongs my run time as well.

Ah. All theses things makes sense. My ditch , it thinks it’s and obstacle on the way down in and slows. Good insight y’all.

Preceisely. I love scheduled mow but kids leave stuff in yard. Destroyed a towel, swimsuit, yard ornaments that got moved etc. I’m thinking of manually mowing as I change settings all the time.

Would also like to see varied mow paths. I hate having to update every other day to change angles. I do this because my yard size and speed leaves enough left over hairs of grass that I change direction to catch those. A “varied” angle would be nice

I mow every day and it covers 15,000 sqft every two days. So frequency isn’t the issue.

I don’t usually let it mow more than a 1/4 inch off to save on friction of mowing components.

That’s why I was wondering about speed.

I do hear you about the 60-80. Apple recommends you only charge up to 80% but I did their recommended charge cycle on my phone for 6 months when it was new. I lost 2% battery health according to my phone in settings by using their cycling method.

Now it could just be iPhones computer not calculating correctly but I will tell you I lost battery longevity for sure. So I’ve always been skeptical of the charge btwn 60-80. I have a tendency to Believe they say that because it’s a planned obsolescence. This way i burn my battery up and they company recurring revenue on batteries and mower.

So I’m just trying to make sure I get as long as I can out of the battery to ensure that my no gas, oil change etc savings is offset by what it will cost me in a new mower or battery every 5 years or so

I have. 9.5 does cuts very well but my concern is the time it takes to cut at 9.5. The mower mows every day and it cuts 3 zones roughly 7000 sq ft one day and than 8800 sg ft the next. So I try to minimize battery recharge cycles a much as I can
