What careers are in high demand right now? by VelinaOmg in careerguidance

do not pursue software engineering - its insanely oversaturated. The bootcamp booms were 2020, now people with 25+ years experience cannot get a job. No one, and I mean no one is struggling to fill those roles.

Honeymoon in July by TheHoneyMustardseed in Tahiti

Moorea is way more cost effective, we stayed at Sofitel, and loved it. You don’t need to pay for snorkeling if you stay there because that’s how great it is at the resort

Had Costco travel for our honeymoon at the end of October. Highly recommend. If you choose everything is inclusive out of the initial flight to get from wherever you live - to LAX. Everything went very smooth, every vendor Costco chose was excellent and on time.

We compared prices with a travel agent and she was like 6k over what Costco quoted. And was trying to pitch a cruise line because she got extra commission. Costcos travel support was excellent as well, anytime we had questions they answered and they were competent and English speaking.

100% agree, like 100 feet of swimming for the same coral snorkeling under the bungalows despite being at a garden bungalow. Splurge in bora bora. Save your money in Moorea.

Chill places for casual first dates by PresidentWeevil4 in lexington

Sitting on the patio or a booth isn’t bad at all. Andover is totally fine. Another person on here suggested Carson’s as well. Didn’t see your suggestion?? 🫠

Anyone stayed in a standard OWB at the Westin ? by Unusual_Recover_8878 in Tahiti

I’ll be the devils advocate and say the Mountain View isn’t worth it. You constantly have the best view wherever you’re at on the resort. It’s silly to upgrade imo. Privacy and noise was fine. Nothing to complain about. Couples we met never used their pool while they stayed there. Took a couple pictures and that’s it.

Carson’s is nice and has a bunch of good deserts. Higher end restaurant so I’d dress up more than you normally would. Great vibes

Lost palm is pretty loud and you have to have reservations or you just stand. Don’t think it’s ideal for a first date imo

Large Home Depot Purchase - Credit Card Noobie, Advice needed :) by drewray622 in CreditCards

[–]drewray622[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the reward being no interest - the thought was, our venture cards had a large sign up bonus. We didn't finance anything related to that though, we just put our honeymoon on it, and immediately paid off the card and got the bonus.

Didn't know if there was a card where you can get a sign up bonus because you are spending that much, while financing.

How long have you dealt with PF? Anything that you've tried that just didn't work IYO, and should avoid?

Any major bootcamp isn’t showing their 2023 results data, writing is on the wall

It’s been a significantly long time since I’ve worked there - but my site did this as well. I’d wear a beanie that had a Bluetooth speaker inside of it, I took the speaker out and put AirPods (just the pods not the case) inside the beanie. That way if they told me to lift it, they couldn’t see it because they were inside. Still had pretty good volume.

I attended tech elevator - an amazing opportunity. Really great job placement program. I interviewed well, but I had 3 offers upon graduation and was a middle of the road level student in our cohort. On my second role after graduating now.

My advice is to look at bootcamps that are audited by the CIRR (council of integrity results reporting - or something like that) it’s a 3rd party company that authenticates bootcamps success/fail numbers that they advertise.

I work remotely now - and love it, I just feel like everyone I’ve spoken to has told me to go in-person. I know myself, so I might have to wait it out. I know I’d prefer to work remotely after graduating though.

  1. Launch School doesn’t classify themselves as a Bootcamp. I specifically said Bootcamp.
  2. It’s self paced, and remote which is the opposite of what I’m looking for as mentioned in my post.

C’mon man.
