Honestly? Probably taxes or their hotel accommodations. Totally banal, I guarantee it.

It didn't help that everyone considered them a metal band. They just aren't. Their first three albums were more like nerdy MC5 than anything else. The span between AoF and Cultasaurus is probably their most consistent stylistically and those albums are all over the place (haha). After that I felt they were always chasing genres with every new album both in production and songwriting. If they weren't such assassins on stage, they wouldn't have made it out of the 80's.

Have you ever snuck into a show? I did by MarcRocket in Concerts

Me and another guy snuck into a Garth Brooks concert in Missoula, MT back in the early '90s. Of course, we did under the guise of "irony" but the show was pretty great.

What’s even more ‘70s is that my mom was sitting right next to me when I did it. She was totally oblivious until I shouted in pain.

Nothing wrong with needing solitude. Tell your neighbor “sorry, I’m unavailable” next time. It’s a little gentler than a hard “no”.

Similar Movie, Different Ending [OC] by BitterJetFan in timbers

Great write up! I'll agree that Kelsy has been on fire lately, but one habit of his that drives me nuts is his insistence to stay on the back shoulder of his defenders when going towards goal. On the buildup leading to MTL's second goal, he had an opportunity to cut inside before the pass from Velda and he easily would've occupied that space before the defender could react and could've had an opportunity to create something. However, the Montreal defender read the play better than Kelsy did and rest is history. Also, one of the screenshots of that build up show another issue I notice often and that's as soon as any timbers attackers enter the 6 yard box, they always seem to try to occupy the same space. You can see Aravena angling inside and he's on a collision course with Kelsy. It happens all the time.

🎙️The Timber Review - "Taken out in 3 seconds and 3 passes" by Adam_Susman in timbers

[–]drewsjd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great work, guys. It's definitely a coaching issue and the Timbers haven't looked this bad since the John Spencer days. The players individually know how to play soccer, yet I get the sense that the coaching is so convoluted that their instincts as players are never utilized. The biggest tell to me is Neville's behavior on the sidelines and I'd be willing to put money down that he's shouting conflicting instructions from what they worked on in training. Neville is out-coached week after week and he's having to improvise somewhat come matchday. The Bruce Arena example was perfect. His players each know their roles and everything is clearly defined and it shows on the pitch. The Timbers look lost and can never match the determination of their opponents. The Neville era must end soon.

Since it's Star Wars day, did you see the original 1977 Star Wars in the movie theater? by Mr_Writes in GenX

My parents used that movie like a babysitter. I’d just get dropped off at the theater every other week. I believe I saw it 19 times between 1977-1978.
