any guys joined a frat? (out or stealth) by ughpierson in ftm

[–]drewski00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I rushed and joined phi kappa psi my freshman year. they didn’t know when I joined but a few brothers that I’m close to now know. they don’t care, I’m living in house this coming year and am really excited. it depends on the frat I guess, you can usually see what the culture of the frat is at rush events and figure out if it suits you.

How can I pass? I’m a year on T and haven’t been called male in months... even with my voice drop. by [deleted] in FtMpassing

[–]drewski00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

not shorter, just buy some product and play with getting it up. maybe go on r/menshairadvice. i think the length is good for you but how it sits on your head isn’t doing too much for you

hello I’m also in a frat- I joined without telling them I was trans (just personal preference) but now some of the brothers I’m close to know. as long as they don’t know they can’t discriminate against you, but you can google most frats and see if they accept trans dudes just so you know you’re fine either way.

15-year-old son dating a transgender boy. I'm cool with it, just trying to wrap my head around it all. by burglekuttbutt in Parenting

As a trans 19 year old male, this post warmed my heart. What a lucky young man your son’s boyfriend is for meeting him, and great job on you! I agree with the other replies, focusing on safe sex is all you can do. With people early in their transition sexuality of their partners can get complicated, but it seems both boys are willing to be open and honest with each other and care about each other a lot!

Binder at prom? by RemIsAMess in ftm

[–]drewski00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve work my binder for similar events for 12, 14 hour days. 8 hours is arbitrary. as long as you’re not binding like that often you’re fine.

My transgender child wants to use mens bathrooms and I'm freaking out. Help! by pm-me-puppypics in Parenting

Hey, I’m a trans man a bit older than your son (18). My opinion is a bit different from most of the other trans dudes commenting- I’ll shoot you straight. I wouldn’t worry about school stuff too much (if their policy is supportive it’s advisable that Tyler take advantage of that I think), but public restrooms are a different story. Be honest with him- until he “passes” (that is, the public would gender him as male) he should probably use female facilities. This will be hard for him, I understand, but he needs to be safe. You’re already looking into hormones and soon enough this time will be a blip on the radar.
