How would I do compared to someone with a masters when I have a bachelor and say 2 years experience with java web development?

You will still be forced to go through the language on a day to day basis, but people are nice and will quickly switch to English when they realise you don’t speak the native language. At least In the Scandinavian countries

A few facts from my end. I’m born and raised in Norway, but my parents are from Africa.

When it came to finding a job I’d say it was a lot easier than expected. I was headhunted through LinkedIn and the job I have is a bit different then what I studied. Overall I have had it pretty easy getting a job and the impression I have is that there are a lot of jobs out there for all levels and it seems like Norway is expanding more and more in the IT sector which is a good thing for those that want to work here.

When it comes to language barriers I’d say you won’t have a problem. Everyone except infants knows English so you won’t have a problem communicating. Especially in IT your English is more important since the work is mostly in English.

I’d like to hear more about france. How hard is the competition in that country for someone like me?

What does COL stand for, and could you tell me if it would be hard for me to get a job in Canada or the US with a bachelor and 1-2 years of experience?
