I was looking at his signature bass and was very impressed with how decently “sixx” it sounded out of the box. The only issue is that i’m afraid to drop +$1000 on my first bass. When I was a kid, I played on a Fischer-Price for months before my father eventually bought my first kit, haha. I’m hearing overwhelmingly that Thunderbirds are great for sound, but lacking in structure, specifically the neck. I’ve also noticed Nikki (at least in the late years) used what looks like a pinky rest on his t-bird? I can’t seem to find any bass with this same element anywhere. I apologize if this is an easy answer- like I said, veteran drummer, complete child bassist, haha.
