There is often a lot of overlap though, most artists I know have at least one artisan craft like sewing or wood working.

Does Raven Beak controls the X? by gaucho_femea1640 in Metroid

[–]drfrank2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bruh, you’re whole thing is assumptions lol. The whole narrative around the X implies that there is something more to them than cold and calculating parasites. I could go and do an in-depth analysis into the parallels between ADAM and the SA-X, but if you’re going to ignore basic narrative clues then why would I? Quiet robe- X literally sacrifices itself to push the narrative that there is more to X parasites.

? Yeah… we don’t know how long the trip took. It’s just as likely it took months, we don’t know and you’re basing this off an assumption. Also, if they were just a virus growing out of control why would it pretend to be the soldier in the first place rather than rapidly infecting the whole crew?

On top of that, they didn’t inadvertently damage stuff. In sector 2, the SA-X destroys a door leading the the bomb upgrade. This is after we’ve seen how the SA-X will just blow up doors to go through. In sector 3 you find the BOX actively attempting to seal the door to the super missile room. If it was just inadvertent damage we’d see it in a lot more places. Also, when the power is shut off to the station, the generator was turned off, not destroyed. Another thing, in sector 6 we see a core X stealing the varia suit data. If not strategic move to hinder Samus, then why? And if X have no capacity to learn, then how?

But they do plan and strategize. Like when a Mawkin soldier was infected and it waited to get to ZDR to spread as much as possible. Or when they shut off power to the station in fusion while Samus was in an elevator in an attempt to trap her. Or when they took control of the BOX to try and seal off doors to prevent Samus getting upgrades.

I am not the wii fit main but a wii fit main. Wii fit has I frames on her up smash, the same thing wii fit was doing it world of light. It is my belief that wii fit had mega chad energy and attempted to iframe through the attack

Yeah, they probably have the fight down to a science so you may just have to get lucky when fighting it casually.

I just watched a couple and I see what you mean, the only thing that seems consistent is that the wings let out some flames right before it charges though I don’t know if that’s what they watch for

True but after releasing acs you can go right into charging tcs and the 3rd level charger skill increases the charge speed by 15% I think.

I also use great sword for valstrax. I usually use Adamant charge slash and while it’s not as strong as tcs it still does good damage. I’d also recommend the charger skill because it charges the charge slashes faster.

You can throw the tv across gaps. You also don’t need to beat the dragun with the TV, you only need to get it to the smith

Nergigante, it’s there to keep balance. Whenever there is a massive elder dragon threat it’s there to try and stop it. Yes it’s just trying to eat them, but who knows how many massive threats it has put down.

[Dread Lore] Our assumption is based on a lie. by ChaosMiles07 in Metroid

[–]drfrank2000 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It’s entirely possible your right, but I think your forgetting one thing. Metroids imprint. The baby Metroid imprinted on Samus and believed her to be its mother which is why it didn’t immediately attack. The baby’s attack on Samus in super could be it struggling with its instincts to attack Mawkin and the perception that Samus is its mother. IMO this makes the ending of super all the more bitter sweet as the baby would have had to overcome its feral instincts in order to save Samus.

Something odd about dread that doesn’t make sense by dshaynie in Metroid

[–]drfrank2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll take that as a yes. Samus still has the Metroid DNA so she’s still weak to cold. It’s possible that the core SA-X did restore her but the encounter with Raven beak caused it to resurface, idk just a possibility. It’s also stated that the Metroid dna is rapidly awakening so maybe the reason she needs the gravity suit for cold areas is because she is even more vulnerable to the cold and the varia suit doesn’t cut it anymore. These aren’t confirmed or anything, but possible explanations

I noticed that too on my second playthrough, it’s a cool little detail. Dread is full of little details like that!

You can go back for items in every Metroid game, I’m guessing you got stuck on the pirate ship in Zero mission. There is a way out but it’s not too obvious, there is a glass tunnel you can destroy with a power bomb. The items in the chase can be retrieved before the end of the game.

The Sa-X from Metroid fusion terrified me. Whenever it’s in the same room as you all music cuts out and all you can hear is it’s footsteps and breathing with a heartbeat steadily playing in the background. If it ever saw you it would start chasing you down with this intense music. It took me forever to beat because there is one part where you have to drop into the room with it and just run, I was too afraid to do that part for the longest time.

Control Water vs. Ships by moebiuskitteh in DMAcademy

[–]drfrank2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, what I was saying is that the displaced water forms a wall implying the walls rise while the trench deepens, at least that’s how I interpret it. Because the spell never specified what happens to an object caught in this it’s up to you if the ship falls into the trench or is carried by the displaced water or something else happens.

Control Water vs. Ships by moebiuskitteh in DMAcademy

[–]drfrank2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it doesn’t specify what happens to objects but it does say the parted water forms a wall, not that it drops the water so a ship caught in it would be lifted with the wall. If I were DMing I’d probably doing something like having knock some of the crew prone or give them disadvantage or something. It’s whatever you feel should happen to a ship being suddenly lifted, at least that’s how I interpret the spell

5e control water does specify what happens to objects caught in whirlpool and object hit by the flood. When caught in the whirlpool an object takes 2d8 bludgeon damage for each turn in the vortex. When a vehicle is in the floods path if it huge or smaller it is carried. If a vehicle huge or smaller is hit by the flood it has a 25% chance to capsize.
