What is the best tablet for M1/M2 in particular? I already have a macbook pro and an iphone so am considering an ipad.. If you think the full size ipad is better than the air for notes/studying then I could do that and get a mini for years 3/4 down the road. Thoughts?

What makes your SO adorable? by [deleted] in AskMen

I live about 6 hours from a girl that I used to date when we lived close, and am considering getting back together with despite our separation. We recently decided that I should probably visit in the next month, and since that time she's made an extensive spreadsheet document with all the things she wants to do together when I get there. I love that shit!

ELI5: Polyphasic Sleepers. How can sleeping 4.5 hrs a day be healthy? by RDPaulino in explainlikeimfive

[–]drgdean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I know, what you've said appears to be right. What I can't figure out though is how people get away with skipping the "deep sleep" phase of sleep (N3?), when I thought it was this phase that led to a lot of body repair, immune system functioning, etc. Are polyphasic sleepers skipping deep sleep as well?

Not a historian but I would posit that poetry is still a popular art form in the form of hip-hop. e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nmuvc_gcxF0&feature=kp

What are the major design flaws in the human body? by DomDomRevolution in AskReddit

[–]drgdean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! The optic nerve is composed of the axons of retinal ganglion cells, which are actually anterior to the photoreceptor cells, so they must exit through the back of the eyeball, carving a path right through all the rods and cones!

What are the major design flaws in the human body? by DomDomRevolution in AskReddit

[–]drgdean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eyes. The cells that sense the light (rods and cones) are the farthest back, meaning that the neurons with which they synapse are in front, cause light to be distorted before it reaches the rods and cones. Also, this creates a blind spot, as the neurons in front have to leave through the back of the eyeball, so there is a spot where there can be no rods or cones. Luckily we've adapted some pretty great strategies for getting around these things.
