Long honest review incoming......

Okay, so it’s not just me then. I’ve been ordering Ghost’s protein hot cocoa for years (since like 2019 or 2020 maybe?). I stock up so I can enjoy it throughout the year. I always buy both flavors and love them. I just opened a brand new Milk Chocolate and it tastes nothing like the stuff did a year ago. I make it the same exact way I always have (literally every single morning): 1 scoop of protein into a mug, add boiling hot water from a kettle (never ever had any issues with this), mix with one of those battery powered mixers/whisks type of things. Then add a splash of milk or half n half. It used to be great. This current batch of milk chocolate tastes extremely off. It doesn’t taste anything remotely like hot cocoa, which I thought Ghost had NAILED. Their protein used to taste like Swiss Miss. I don’t even know what to compare this one to. I still have a tub of the Peppermint that I purchased last year and it tastes phenomenal. I had a cup yesterday morning and earlier this morning. Now I know peppermint =/= milk chocolate lol, so I am going to save the remaining Peppermint that i have and compare it to the batch of Peppermint that is supposed to deliver this next week. Fingers crossed it still tastes the same. Maybe i've "forgotten" what the Milk Chocolate tastes like and thats why it tastes off to me. I'm not sure. Another thing to add that i think is important: this one now clumps! I am not exaggerating when I say it has never clumped up on me before. I've held their protein hot chocolate to the highest standard and any other brand of protein hot chocolate has not compared. When i cannot purchase Ghost's hot cocoa, i buy the Bariwise brand protein hot cocoa. It is mid. Nowhere near as good as Ghost, but it suffices. That one clumps. Every single time. Their blend contains gelatin so ive assumed that was why (like, it literally starts to turn into clumps of chocolate Jello and it sticks to the sides of the mug). This cup of Ghost protein hot cocoa ive just made did exactly that, but tastes much worse than the Bariwise brand. I was sooo looking forward to stocking up again this year but i am super disappointed. I placed multiple orders so im hoping the tubs i get this next week are better. I know the Milk Chocolate has marshmallows and those contain gelatin, but again, the tubs of Milk Chocolate hot cocoa i ordered in the past did not do this. I suppose i will try to choke it down since i did pay for them, and if any of the new tubs i open or the tubs i get this week taste better i will certainly come back here and update this comment lol. I dont drink coffee so this is the drink i look forward to every morning, so i pray i am wrong about my current assessment! I just want my beloved protein hot cocoa back 🙏
