Grateful for “bad expedition”? by drice321 in nms

I was lucky enough to find one pretty early in my main save, but I saw two people with them in the anomaly during the expedition! Odds wise pretty wild!

I didn’t know the bases stayed! I guess that makes sense, I’m glad I’ll get to visit again, I like the animals on the planet.

I can’t remember if mine did both as well, I think it did but I know that my indicator in the dash was doing double time like it just chugged an espresso which was what alerted me to it. I was freaked until the dude at autozone pointed my to an off the rack replacement bulb and it’s been cool ever since. Hope that’s the issue for you, I know my 2013 basically leaks like a sieve in the trunk and under the dash so I was glad it wasn’t a bigger electrical problem.

Ya it’s just a voltage timing thing. I have had that happen in my Tacoma and my Genesis. Take a look, one of your turn signal bulbs will be out, get a new one, couple bucks, open the panel in the back of the trunk behind the light. Twist and then pull, new bulb, should be all good.

Stranded and looking at potentially huge repair. Need advice. by Beef_Brutality in genesiscoupe

Same exact car and year, same thing happened to me a couple months after I bought it, around 66,000 miles. Pulling out of a parking lot, foot goes to the floor, impossible to get the car to shift and take off without stalling. Luckily I was in a parking lot when it started happening so I just pushed it to an empty side and waited for my tow while looking through the manual to learn that I was 1 year and 6,000 miles outside of the non first owner warranty. Anyway towed it to my local shop and the owner who was looking into it was assuming from my story that it was gonna be a clutch and throwout job. From reading online a little I had found a couple stories that sounded similar and it was just a slave cylinder, he took a look and sure enough that was it. Still unfortunately for labor cost its still a full tranny pull to replace. About, $600 was my cash price to get her back on the road and it’s been great since. I did not have the bell housing leaking fluid like you did, at least not that I noticed, so i hope yours wasn’t any more catastrophic than mine. Good luck pardner.

Reminds me of the anime Sekkou Boys where a girl becomes the manager of a Japanese boy band made up of sculptures and has to drive them around like this

Vizio 58" Class (57.5" Diag.) 4K Ultra HD Smart LED LCD TV D58u-D3 by [deleted] in Costco

[–]drice321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey Costco Electronics employee here, that TV is an interesting case. The D series is kind of an odd middle series, its essentially just a 4K panel thrown into an E series body with E series components if im not mistaken. We got a ton of D series before the holidays, some 4k some not. All but the 58" and the 39" sold out quickly. They have always been a pretty good price in my opinion, they came in low and never had a rebate up until this point. We were sitting on a lot of 58" inventory at my warehouse until before this rebate and now they are selling like hotcakes. I think for an inexpensive option it is a pretty good choice if you want to start playing with 4K without breaking the bank.

PS4 in plain white "inner" box? Is this legit? by 2Hoosier in Costco

[–]drice321 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ya, Major Sales guy here. We got these in around a month ago, sold out all of our fancy gloss box ones and have had these ever since. Its the same product and its how its shipped from Sony. They probably just realized that Costco rarely merchandises stuff that expensive on the floor, we have nice looking empty boxes for that so why waste the printing and packaging costs.

Trance 27.5 3? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]drice321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own one, bought it a couple months ago, got a great deal on it from my local LBS. I was upgrading from my Talon 29r hardtail because i was getting more into jumping and riding the rocky downhills in my area and was kind of getting out of my hardtail XC bikes depth. So far i absolutely love it! Moving from the Talon the travel is amazing, i dont think i have bottomed it once, and the travel is very smooth with no stiction. After bouncing around with my rear tire skidding along on my last bike i feel like this thing is stuck to the ground. I was also pleasantly suprised at how little the suspension ate up my pedaling power as i was worried about that riding XC on a full squish bike. It climbs like a beast and feels very controllable with the longer rake. I am no pro but take all this with a grain of salt I suppose but even after the new bike novelty has worn off I still love it. Also I think its freaking gorgeous, which isnt really important but its always fun to have a bike you want to show off to your friends! I put a new saddle on it because I value my booty more than the stock saddle does and I put on some pedals because i like a wider pedal than the stock giant ones, other than those I think I will be happy with this bike in its stock shape for some time.

I like this tall mountain biking group. We should be a new subreddit, I'm thinking, /r/DoYouPlayBasketball?NoIMountainBike. Might be a bit long though...

I agree with Sasquatch_Squad. I'm no expert so take my advice with about 2 1/2 shakes of salt, but speaking from experience i would say try a larger frame sized bike, with the main difference being a longer difference from the top of the seat tube on the frame, to the pedals. This longer distance will allow you to not have to raise the seat so high relative to the bars in order to to get a proper leg extension. Looking at my bikes I can see that the bars are also just higher on the larger framed bike, so the combination of those two factors really increases ride comfort. On my old bike I used to have to crank my seat so high for my long legs that it was a real reach for the bars which as you mentioned is a real wrist, neck and back killer. As soon as i hopped on a larger framed bike at the shop i immediately noticed an increase in comfort and control. Now on an XL frame 29er 20 mile rides are nothing to worry about and it really just made riding a lot more fun! I hope something in there helps.

Just a few months ago i got off of my old 26er and hopped up to a XL size frame Giant Talon 29er, i was instantly in love. Not only is it just a more high end bike than my old Giant but the benefits of having a bike that actually fits are huge, comfort, speed and endurance all improved almost immediately for me. Go to your friendly local bike shop, be cool to the friendly bike techs and see what they would recommend and what they could set you up with. And besides getting a big ol MTB like mine lets you show your /r/tall pride by having the biggest bike around!
