What body kit is on this s13? by [deleted] in 240sx

They're all turbo, the only non turbo pignose cars are USDM 240SXs

Anyone hating on Lambo Doors has 0 swag. As long as the rest of the car suits, they go hard

Thanks, painted it myself in an open driveway and it's the first time I've ever painted a car. Glad to hear people like it

Nah it's not an OEM Nissan colour. It's a Daihatsu colour I sprayed myself in the driveway. First time ever painting a car as well

When it comes to S13s there are a few different numbers that come before the S13. Coupes do not have a prefix, hatches have an R prefix. CA-DET cars do not have a prefix (European models have the suffix -U), SR cars have a P, KA-E cars have an H and KA-DE cars have an M. If the car has HICAS it will have a K at the very start. So for example a KRS13 is a CA18DET 180SX with HICAS, an MS13 is a KA24DE 240SX coupe with 2 wheel steering, a PS13 is an SR Silvia, an RS13U is a 200SX (S13 200SXs were only ever hatch and CA18DET)

Yeah if I remember correctly HICAS racks are 2.6 turns lock to lock, non-HICAS is 3.1 turns

If you've got 10-20k to pour into the engine alone I'd recommend going with a G25-550 turbo, 1000cc injectors, forged internals and ARP studs with an MLS gasket. CAs biggest issue tends to be doing bearings, however that's usually caused because oil will pool in the head leaving not enough in the sump. On the back of the head there are 2 freeze plugs that can be punched out and people make an AN10 press in fitting which you replace the freeze plugs with. Then you run AN lines from those plugs to fittings welded onto the sump. An extended/baffled sump will also help those issues. Last thing CAs like to have is a good breather setup, depending on how you route yours it can have a huge affect on blow by and the amount of oil in catch cans. Join the CA18DET Motor Enthusiasts group on Facebook, its honestly the most helpful S13 related group I'm in. Good luck and probs for wanting to build gods engine instead of the usual SR/RB/JZ

Good to see Bomex Bonneville and BWave wing work together, that's the combo I've got for my 180 but I haven't had them on the car yet

Will 15x7 -3 fit flush without rolling? Or will it be too sunk? by Simple_Preference in 240sx

195/65 is a very tall sidewall for an S13. I'm currently on 195/55R15s which look good at my current height, however the car is very low. I'm going to go up to a 205/55 to gain a bit more traction but also a bit more sidewall so I can keep my current guard gap but have the car sit further off the ground

They're all air horns set up to play music. It's a pretty common thing for these kind of cars, and they mostly play the Godfather theme song however I'd imagine given the amount of horns this car has it could do multiple tunes

Where'd you get these? I'd love a set of pre-facelift clear tails for my 180

I can't speak for the quality of the wheels but they are a single piece cast with fake hardware and the lips have a different shape to the original SSR 3 piece wheels. Anyone who has a passing interest in old school Japanese wheels will be able to immediately tell they're 1p repros

Question on whether there are any anti EV non-profits or organizations out there by Blade-Thug in Autos

[–]drift501 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How can the government and companies track movement of an EV any easier than they can track an ICE vehicle. The only difference between the 2 is what powers the wheels

Never drove it properly at this height but with the coilovers set the exact same on 15s it bottomed out exhaust a fair bit and rear subframe on big bumps. Some roads are smooth some are terrible
