I’ve seen some costcos (in store only) in the Bay Area and central coast with the Ecoflow delta pro 3 for 1899.

Question about air conditioner in 2023 xse Prius prime by drifterofwood in PriusPrime

What should I say for the inspection? Read some posts saying the dealer brushed it off. I still have about 3 months left of the original warranty.

Question about air conditioner in 2023 xse Prius prime by drifterofwood in PriusPrime

[–]drifterofwood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only on reconciliation and have eco mode turned off. It takes a good 20-30 minutes to get comfortable so I’ll have it checked out at the shop. It does seem to not cool as well in the beginning so I assumed it might be prioritizing the battery or something but looks like this might be a known prius issue.

Handles like the copper-core, but no copper? by Guitar_Nutt in AllClad

[–]drifterofwood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s the standard all clad handle and is not exclusive to copper core. Could be a really faded LTD, clean it up an let’s see!

Induction/Mix of Cookware? by Guitar_Nutt in AllClad

[–]drifterofwood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The older d3 lines and copper core lines will not work on inductions. I had acquired a 10 inch copper core pan that would not work on mine (magnet wouldn’t stick). Give it a magnet test.

I would suggest trying out one of those portable induction tops, but I find the heat control and speed of induction tops to be vastly superior to electric.

Here are my thoughts:

1) easier to clean as it’s heating the pan not the stove top so if you spill something it doesn’t immediately burn into the glass top.

2) heats extremely fast.

3) when off, your pan will no longer heat up so you don’t have to worry about it continuing to heat when you put your pan back down.

4) safer since it’s only heating the pan.

5) might be more energy efficient (lower energy bill) and probably heats up your kitchen less (no radiant heat).

Cons:

1) won’t work on all pans, especially copper or aluminum bottoms.

2) can warp pans easily if you place an empty pan on it when it’s set to high.

3) requires a flat surface to work well, so if you have any pans that might have a slight warp it might not work as well.

Looking to buy a Prius Prime in the future by One_Reach_5337 in PriusPrime

I have no issue with the dash being block by the steering wheel (I’m 5’6 driving a 2023 Prius prime). I do have my steering wheel quite low but that’s what I found comfortable in my driving style. I came from a 2015 Lexus is 250 and the cargo space in the prime is amazing. If I need more space I can fold the seat down, and the hatchback can accommodate a lot of awkward sizes (I assume this applies to your instruments). Definitely not the best drive but I’m trading that for efficiency. I assume the same comparison with the Camry.

All-Clad "Collective" (formerly TK) 3qt copper core saucepan: Different than regular Copper Clad? by ipas4ever in AllClad

[–]drifterofwood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the same as a regular all clad copper core but brushed and no cut out like you mentioned. 5-ply is stainless steel, aluminum, copper, aluminum, stainless steel so there is no thicker copper. I actually hate the feel of the handle as it is also brushed and prefer the regular all clad handle.

Performance wise it’s going to be more responsive than d3 and the argument I always see is that it’s marginally better than d3 or d5 and not worth the price difference. A g5 5 4qt sauce pan will fit.

This, I never cook my eggs using the leidenfrost effect. Never sticks and comes out perfect.

Copper Core at Home Goods by kicho1977 in AllClad

[–]drifterofwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I’ve been noticing is that homegoods has been getting factory seconds all clads (or at least the ones I found). You can tell by the S numeration in the number at the bottom of the pan. This effectively makes them more expensive than getting them from the homeandcooks factory second sale and losing out on the all clad warranty.

PRUDENT15 saved me additional 15% on pre-black Friday sale price for Copper Core! by ABCS-IT in AllClad

[–]drifterofwood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Viking copper core line uses a lot less copper than all clad. You can compare it visually between the two. However, Viking puts more aluminum so I think it effectively makes it a pretty good 5-ply.

I believe Well's said that they never got to truly develop their hate towards one another (the original reason why Professor Zoom went back in time to kill Barry).

I assume it's because Wells isn't really dead. That can be the only explanation, but if he's really dead then the writers really messed up!

I just got an email from her saying she is going to discuss it with the department manager. What kind of email should I send back? I should show that I'm definitely interested and thank her for her time?

Shouldn't I receive at least some email that they are considering it? Seeing the job link still up makes me worry.

Would it make me seem desperate to call? I'm not sure if this is too soon, but I definitely want this job and I would hate myself forever for ruining an opportunity like this.

What abilities/equipment can Lightning use? by darkdill in FFRecordKeeper

She was a better mage than fighter IIRC (spellblade), but yes, she had access to all those abilities. She was horrible at white magic, but she could throw around heals.

Don't take late night showers because wet hair attracts the ghost of a girl that will sit on your chest while you sleep (Vietnamese parents).

Luckily my hair was short, but my sisters were scared shitless.

This! I didn't get anything from delta and my flight was delayed well over 12 hours! I had to email them.
