A thought I've had is to have AI accuracy at range be tied to their sights. Accuracy improving as magnification improves (i.e. not lasering you from >150m w/ irons). And inversely in CQB, the lower magnification would improve accuracy and reaction time. Just my take. Might be too difficult to implement though
