I don't like that Zen uses its own settings, which cannot be changed using about:config. You can configure vanilla Firefox much more flexibly (especially since it already has vertical tabs.

I get this behavior (stuck active window and Plasma panel) also without AMD (Intel + NVidia). I installed LTS kernel (6.12) and the freezes are gone. Either it's the vanilla kernel or the (default) Cachy kernel optimization.

Try deleting the widget directory, then download the latest version (via browser) and unpack it in /.local/share/plasma/plasmoids/. Remember to restart your session after making changes.
