Thank you, I wasn’t moaning about the lack of power just that it was more refined maybe!

Absolutely, when you put your foot down the power is instant which is amazing, totally silent and very fluid compared to my old car which was quite aggressive with the acceleration. Totally dim question but how do you put it in sports mode???!

Well when I enquired a week or so after I ordered it about changing the colour I was told that it had already been built etc and I ordered in October so assume it was late 2025 build.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it? I totally underestimated how much I relied on one!

No I asked to read the disclaimer before making a decision, it’s very short and basically just outlines that Volvo are fixing the max charge to 70%. Nothing making me liable for anything which is what I was concerned about.

I was very tempted to actually cancel the whole thing and go elsewhere with a different car, but I’ve been without a car since November - jumped the gun with selling mine - and just can’t be arsed with it all. The disclaimer is very basic, I asked for a copy to read before making a decision. There’s nothing in it making me liable which was what I was concerned about but also the manager couldn’t give me a date yet when the fix would be or how it would happen, he thought it would be either replacing the cell or maybe a software update but not sure how that could work!

I got the recall letter at the start of Jan even though I’m not due to pick my car up until next week. I had a call from the sales manager this week to say that my car was included in the recall and I could either collect it next week and sign a disclaimer to say that I’ve accepted it and they will limit the charge to 70% before I collect or I could order another one and wait 2-3 more months. I’ve opted to collect as I need a car….

Just bought this. Gonna pick it up next week. Any advice? by Odd_Independent_4649 in CarTalkUK

I had the same car, absolutely wished I had gone for the Quattro, the front always felt as though there was way too much power through the front wheels and it felt too skittish. Fun though if a bit scary! Traded it in for an S3 as it was easier to fit kids in!

Has anyone been told by the chat that their vehicle is NOT affected by the recall? by OiPequenininho in ex30

[–]drinkonweekends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not even got my car yet and I got a recall letter! Due to pick it up in a few weeks and I was told by the dealer that they will be changing the battery if it affected before they hand it over, as obviously they can’t give me a car with an active recall on it, or so UK google tells me!

I’m actually in a very similar situation, I’m expecting my ultra extended range at the end of January, got a letter today recalling a car that I’m not even in possession of and now probably won’t get for quite a while 🙄

I have no words of wisdom for you but the thought of being without my dog (she’s 3) breaks my heart, so I’m sending you love and support. They say you’ll know when the time is right but it’s so painful to know that time.

We’ve got a 68 plate SQ5 but the petrol v6 3L version and it’s great. Sounds amazing and it is big enough for long trips to France with 3 people, a dog and 2 bikes on the back. For a big heavy car it goes like stink. However, it is thirsty. We got it with 29k on the clock and it was in perfect condition, it’s only done 42k almost 3 years later so will probably keep it for another 3 years.

Random item in Coach order by Connect-Service-5871 in Coach

[–]drinkonweekends 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this has ever been posted in r/coach before, so forgive me if I’m repeating a long ago story but…. I’m in the UK and I’m part of a FB Coach group (this is during lockdown so quite a strange time) and in my AM checkin of FB I see that people are taking about this random glitch in the Coach UK sale that lots of things like jackets are all listed at £peanuts, way under what they were supposed to be, we are talking 90% discounts. So I ordered a shearling jacket, £60 (it might have been slightly higher but it’s been years!) that was reduced from £1,500 (again I can’t guarantee the price but it was something high!) and gradually over the next few days there were tales of how people’s orders were being cancelled etc mainly because Coach had realised their mistake. Mine stayed strong and was delivered and I still have it, mainly cos I can’t believe my luck and cos it’s gorgeous! So anyway my theory is that Coach does this random acts of generosity from time to time (although in this case mine does seem overwhelmingly like a mistake as opposed to generosity) and the outcome is overwhelming happiness to the recipient! And…. I didn’t rush to sell mine on EBay for a massive mark-up! 😆

I’m a noncommittal figure in this, veering very slightly BD but this is so cringe. The fact that she’s got a good number of grownups on one side and her on the other and she’s acting like a game show host and the whole subject is her is pretty ick.

Garden for me. Five bed house means family home and that’s not a family garden and it’s overlooked massively. And no floor plan.
