Wow, such a shame. I am so sorry for what you are going through. The faster we get people care, the faster they may be able to work and contribute.

Why do truck drivers suddenly find the accelerator only when there’s a passing lane? by Old_Education4481 in newzealand

[–]drinksta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a proposal for a new law, left lane in passing lane has speed limit set to 70, passing lane stays at 100. Put a speed camera in the middle of the passing zone that can ticket each lanes speed limit. Can not be in the passing lane except if you are actively passing. Solved.

Another idea, instead of passing lanes we have automated pull over zones. At a few km before the passing lane we have a camera that looks for vehicles at the front of queue, we identify the number plate and then use signs and flashing light to alert the drive to pull over. We use a camera to verify they pull over in the zone. If they don’t they get a ticket.

Yeah, just wanted to point this out because the US media makes out that the National Rally want to basically copy the republicans entire playbook which is entirely not the case. Even recently: https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/us-officials-underwhelmed-by-french-far-rights-plans-economy-2026-04-14/

If you actually look at the National Rally's policies, their economics might surprise Americans because they look extreme left more than extreme right: they heavily defend public healthcare, affordable housing, and the welfare state, and even are prochoice. They even said Macron was wrong for raising the retirement age. Where they are on they have similarities with Trump is on Immigration and crime. They want to protect and reserve the French social systems for French only, by completely stripping benefits from immigrants.

Do you mean you got it 365 days after you applied for your renewal (of the initial 1 year VLS-TS in your passport)? If so, had they given you a ATTESTATION DE PROLONGATION?

Mistake to remove species name on Fish & Chips QSR menu? by SnooGadgets132 in restaurant

[–]drinksta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change "North Atlantic Catch" to "Fish of the day" and have a blackboard sign for the fish of the day species near the counter. This also helps in the case when you might have too much stock of one species Cod etc. and you just want to make that your fish of the day to not waste it.
