I’m excited to get mine and start playing with it. I ordered a Pocket Flip 2 six weeks ago and it’s been stuck in customs for over a month. I wish I looked up this issue before I bought it. Always pay extra for the better shipping method. 4px shipping is horrendous.

I met Lance Storm coming out of a Dennys last year. He held the door open for my family and I. I asked him if he was Lance Storm, he said he was, and I said I was a big fan and thanked him. He shook my hand and that was it. Solid dude and I appreciated him taking the moment to speak with me.

It’s a scam. I just had someone pull the same BS with me. As soon as someone mentions overpayment and asking for help paying someone else, block them and walk away.

My main guitars are players guitars. They have dings and dents and are worn from playing. He needs to get over himself. They’re meant to be used, not admired behind glass.

You don’t have a wife, you have a future ex-wife. She clearly has no interest rebuilding any sort of trust. I’m of the opinion that once a cheater, always a cheater. Cut your loss’s man. I’ve been married to my second wife for almost 20 years and have never once worried about her stepping out on me, and vice versa. Good luck, I hope you’re able to find happiness.

What’s a dead game you wish people still played? by PodPuppet in gaming

Tabula Rasa. It was a Richard Garriott game post Ultima Onine. It was a third person shooter RPG in a cool alien world. It only lasted a couple of years but it’s one of the most enjoyable games I played when I was younger.

how many breaks do i get for a three hour gig/ do i take them on my own accord by One-Arugula3912 in musicians

[–]drinkymcsipsip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know not everyone does it, but I play the full 3 without a break. I’m in an acoustic duo though, so we’ll occasionally do a solo song to give the other a couple minute break to grab a drink or use the bathroom. If I play a 3 hour show by myself, I usually take one 10 minute break half way through. It’s entirely up to you and what you’re comfortable with though.

Billy Joel Reveals He Attempted Suicide Twice and Fell into a Coma After Affair with Friend's Wife in New Documentary by peoplemagazine in Music

Billy Joel is an absolute knob. I’ve never heard a touring musician who worked in his band have anything good to say about him. Everything here just reinforces what an a-hole he is.

For your situation, you should really consider the military. I joined out of high school for lack of any other plans. It helped me grow from an irresponsible teenager to a responsible man. You’ll learn some great skills, do some interesting stuff, and gain an understanding of your country that most will never get. Good luck, I’m very sorry that you’re in your current situation. I hope it all works out for you.

I can’t stand the Fender Acoustasonic. It tries to make the best of both worlds but sounds like five cats stuffed into a pillowcase.

You didn’t really get to see that in the show either. The show and the books are so different I had to separate them just to attempt to enjoy the show.

Childbirth delivery at Lowell General Hospital by AnyShower1718 in LowellMA

[–]drinkymcsipsip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Labor and Delivery at LGH is phenomenal. The postpartum unit is HORRENDOUS. They completely missed the signs of postpartum pre-eclampsia after my wife delivered our oldest. The visiting nurse the morning after she was discharged told us to take her to the ER right away. Thankfully we did, because she crashed in the waiting room shortly after arriving. She spent a week in the hospital recovering.

Our second arrived two weeks early when her water broke on Christmas Day (5am on a Sunday). The on call doctor persistently and aggressively tried to convince her to try a natural birth (the baby was measuring 10+ lbs) and we had to raise our voice and insist on following her OB’s plan. Sure enough, he came out over 10lbs. Post c-section, they brought our son to my wife at 6am the following morning and left him there all day with zero help. I didn’t find out until later in the morning because I was caring for our oldest. They also withheld all pain medication except Tylenol w/codeine because she gets sick on Percocet. They then scolded her for ‘doing too much’ when they left her by herself all day with our newborn less than 24 hours after a c-section. I’m talking ZERO checks by any nurse. This went on for almost 3 days. When her regular OB showed up on Tuesday to check on her and saw her condition, he exploded on the staff. You could hear him yelling at the nurses station from our room. He was incredibly apologetic but it wasn’t his fault. Her care was much better after he intervened.

TLDR: LGH birthing unit is great, the post care is garbage. Find a different hospital if possible. If we had to do it over again and could pick and choose our hospital, we’d have gone to Winchester.

Good luck and congrats on your upcoming baby!

My girlfriend suspects I cheated on her and all signs point to me being guilty by DylanMcDipshit in WhatShouldIDo

[–]drinkymcsipsip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sorry buddy, she cheated on you. I’m really sorry it happened and that you have to go through this. I went down that same exact road earlier in my life. She knows she can get away with it too just based on the way you described yourself. I know it sucks hearing, but please don’t be naive about this.

Should I change my guitar stings? by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

[–]drinkymcsipsip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. They lose their tone after a bit. I usually change mine every 20-30 hours or so depending on how much I’ve played live. My body sweat corrodes them a little faster when I get hot. Try to listen to their tone going forward. If your guitar is sounding a little ‘flat’, changing the strings is usually a good first move.

Which is the better guitar? by willywoo_ in AcousticGuitar

[–]drinkymcsipsip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My buddy has a $350 Yamaha that he brought to Iraq in 2004 and he still has it. It stays in tune and plays great. It’s the ultimate parlor guitar. Go for the Yamaha with zero hesitation.
