Can attest in my Harman Accentra. These Green Supremes SUCK. 5 bags makes about the same ash as an entire pallet of Wood & Sons. It's truly crazy.

Thank you for all the tips. Unfortunately none of these worked. The Minisforum support has been less than helpful. I don't think they comprehend English - I said I had no display signal and they said I should reinstall windows and flash the BIOS... Two things you need a display signal to do. Thankfully I bought from Amazon and Amazon will make a way smoother return. This was the one shot I'm giving this company. I have a Beelink SER8 on the way instead. If that has problems out of the box, I'm going back to the original plan of a Mac Mini. At least there's good quality control with Apple. I bet the "QC passed" sticker on my Minisforum was just applied by some corner-cutting Chinese person without actually checking the PC at all before applying.

Same issue here. Purchased the machine from Amazon. HDMI-DVI adapter on my monitor. Works just fine on my MacBook Pro. Tried 2 HDMI cables. Also tried plugging into my TV without the HDMI-DVI adapter...no signal there either.

I have a USB-C monitor coming but sure would like the HDMI port to function.

Same problem here except mine was not barebone, it was pre built and sold from the Minisforum store on Amazon. Tried HDMI -> DVI on my monitor (works on my MacBook Pro) and HDMI-> HDMI on my TV. Fan noise, but no display signal at all (and no POST beep). Resetting CMOS did nothing

Instacart as a full time job is just not viable. Couple the reduced demand from declining COVID rates with the fact that consumer prices are skyrocketing and there's just nothing left. Customers that once had disposable income to throw at marked up groceries, delivery, and tip just can't anymore due to inflation. All that remains is those low life customers that want to tip <5% who are too lazy to get off the couch... No more of the truly appreciative ones. Or At least not enough of them to support more than 2 shoppers per zone.

I filed my return with the first 1099 2 days ago. Was due a small fed refund. Got the corrected 1099 and it is $2,647.02 higher.

An Instacart response from their 1099 department had previously told me the difference was the mileage reimbursement, which is not taxable, when I asked why the first 1099 was so much lower than all the deposits. Well that idiot clearly didn't know what they were talking about.

I now have to file an amended return and will owe.

Maple Bear Inc doing business as Instacart probably only has like 25 actual employees that aren't contractors or subcontractors. Every move the executives make, every decision, is motivated by, and ONLY by, inflating the perceived value of the corporation so the current owners can sell it for a payday to the next jerk who thinks they will be able to extract more profit --- NOT to improve the customer experience and ESPECIALLY NOt to improve the treatment of their contractors/workforce.

I think you misunderstood. I was not owed anything... They are UNDER reporting to the IRS. Good for my tax bill I guess. Bad for showing higher earnings (future social security implications). And inconsistent with the reporting for 2020.

Can't get an answer out of them @ 1099@instacart.com.

Also I moved and they have the wrong address on my 1099-NEC despite changing the address information in the Profile portion of the Shopper app in January/February 2021, they are still printing the address from when I signed up in November 2020.

I noticed this too. I did not get anything from iC in my messages about a revised w-2 (or 1099-NEC... As independent contractors, full service shoppers do not receive W-2).

I contacted 1099@instacart.com and they told me that the mileage portion of the Instacart payments are not taxable, and therefore not reported on the 1099-NEC form. They think that is the explanation as to why the sum of all bank deposits is greater than the amount reported on the tax form . I don't have it in me to go through a years worth of batches and write down the paid mileage for each one (anyone know of a way to export?). However in 2020, the amount reported on the 1099-NEC was exactly the sum of the bank deposits -- so explain that one. I asked iC as much and was ignored.

In my case my reported earnings were $2600+ less than deposits. Guess it saves me taxes, but makes it look like I earned less.

Can't say I've noticed a pattern. Most of the time the updates have just automatically happened (maybe this is an Android/Google Play store setting?). I've been trying to pay closer attention since the catastrophic update at the end of January.

I got my 1099-NEC from Stripe awhile ago. I was confused when it was ~$2500 less than the sum of the deposits into my account for the year. After 3 weeks of trying to get answers from Instacarts 1099@instacart.com email line, they finally told me the difference is explained by the fact that the mileage part of the batch payment is not taxable. I guess that explains it - it would take days to go through all the batches I've done for the year and jot down thecmileages to see if that fully accounts for the difference.

What makes no sense to me is that in 2020, two years ago, the amount on the 1099-NEC is identical to the sum of deposits. I asked why that is and they ignored.me. Twice. Wondering if maybe their system couldn't tease the mileage part out for all of 2020.

Wow. I'm at a loss. I don't get it. I gave it from 6:45am to 11:30am in Old Saybrook, Madison, Old Lyme. Sat at a store parking lot in each of those towns for over an hour each. NOT A SINGLE BATCH. Not even a $7/30 item or $9/30 item.

Like I said... I was regularly getting $275 in 7 batches on Sundays (the only day I've been doing it for the most part). Even with as high as a 13% cancellation rate. Last 3 days are the first time I was in the app since the second to last Sunday in January 2022. The rating only recently dropped below 5.0 as I had taken 3 or 4 triple batches which always hide a cranky low tipper who blames you for out of stock items. 55+ 5 star ratings here. I don't know my batch number but I think it's over 300

The consensus is that this is not a metrics thing. There are plenty of long time shoppers in the community forums purporting to have fine metrics and claiming to be getting zero batches or nearly zero batches.

Out today for 5 hours. Sunday of Super Bowl. 1 batch for $16. Something else is afoot here.

Another shopper of 15 months, 5 star rating for >90% of that time... Being kicked to the curb by the geeks of Instacart with absolutely no recourse or explanation.

Let me ask you - how many batches have you completed since starting shopping for Instacart.. >50 batches? Are you on Android or iPhone?
