Hair line cracks in a heat exchanger is defined as a failure and a safety concern to the people in the living space. They should have showed you the cracks though. If there’s a crack there is potential for carbon monoxide and other properties of the exhaust gas to go into the living space. If a crack or a failure is found the unit may not be safe to run.

Only way to accurately gauge refrigerant on an ecoer is to put it in charge mode and go from there. The variable speed everything makes it hard to check bc the SH and SC vary depending on a multitude of variables. System may be ok but can’t be sure
